I am trying a Gargoyle build that has 16 ER SLasers, rest in additional armor and double heat sinks. It's like a better Nova, but for some reason its firepower feels weaker than the Timber Wolf build I had that used 8 MPulse Lasers. Stats say that my Gargoyle is supposed to have a slightly higher damage output not including the melee (67.5 vs 56). Maybe it's just my imagination...

Ooo good build. I’ve been considering doing a new play-through without doing too much “min/max” builds (aka skip Gargoyle for Warhawk, etc. 😂).

what are the pros of the pulse laser over the classic med laser?

Typically it’s fire rate and heat management

@@galeottitom1742 it depends on the amount of free weight or weapon slots you have The pulse lasers have a much shorter duration so they are easier to focus on a single spot, If you have the heat capacity it seems better to have er lasers or reduce the size from med to small while staying er

This is the same weapons build as the storm row, but with more armor and fewer lasers.
