Such a different segment. You really should visit these hidden gems that are not super costly and are more affordable. What scenery and surroundings. It all just felt wonderful. Maybe it was because you played so well. Relaxed and without any expectations. Also Gemma, what a nice lady. You just got that feeling of warmth with her there.

I know there are people willing to pay £10+ a hole for big name courses and they are fantastic courses in create condition with great facilities but I'd much rather find somewhere like this.

It's basically product placement, the course being the product for a captured audience that's interested in golf... Similar to that Mercedes they showed in this episode. Might not be each epispde, but as the channel got more popular there would definitely be those deals. Rick is an influencer, you think he does this for free...

@@slyF1Y I mean he’s been open about Mercedes being a sponsor. I’ve heard every episode of the podcast, as far as they’ve made the fans aware they only get free tee times. Sometimes extra tee times around theirs to give them space to film. I don’t think any of those top courses they usually play want to pay for exposure. Rather they want their course represented well on video and will accommodate accordingly with free stays etc

I love how relatable Rick is. You can just tell he REALLY wants to play this course and they're having a blast. Says 5-6 holes, obviously sad about it, then sneaks in 10 and is in the best mood of his life. And of course, you always play better happy. That Eaglesauce made me physically celebrate haha

We played Greencastle that week and had a great time. Course and staff were amazing. We got a cheaper green fee of 30 Euros which is the GUI rate. 100% worth a visit. Another gem in the area is North West GC just 40 mins away in Donegal. Pure links and a test. Well done to all at Greencastle for helping make this video.

@@eannamclaughlin775 We have played at the Lowers many times. We have friends who are members, Paul Eccles, Liam Lynch, plus Current President Daniel Lynch who recently passed. We came to his funeral. So we know the course. Plus we have been coming to play in the area for over 30 years. Its a good track but you need to know your way round and look out for any stray golf balls. If you know you know. We will be back again in 2025. Cheers

I played both Greencastle and North West last week whilst visiting my wife's family who live in Derry. My brother in-law is a member at Greencastle. We got the ferry over from Liverpool and made sure there was enough room in the car for my clubs. Best weeks visit ever 💚🤍🧡

This is where I learnt to play golf in the late 70's - early 80's. Played till it got dark on my holidays. All the members were fantastic with the juniors - great club - will have to go back - lovely people, lovely place

Shows exactly what a great player Rick is - 9/10 rounds he’s playing extremely hard courses, always off back tees and trying to shoot low by playing attacking golf. Put him on a relatively normal course like this or West Midlands, still off back tees and watch the birdies fly in!

I'm going to play harvington tomorrow Redditch ways I think never been before but heard it's a great course. I think that's £20 for 18 holes. Also meant to be a long course. I love golf and trying new courses any suggestions on other good courses please thanks.

Fantastic golf course with lovely staff too. My friends and I showed up to book a tee time and the staff were very helpful and also gave us student discount down to £35. Awesome to see Rick play a local course

I have to say, what a fantastic course this is, and the Guinness in the club house ain't bad either. Loved every minute of it. Cant wait to visit again next year.
