Got an 2002 z06 5 years ago it has 33 thousand miles on it now. I went over board with a procharger and now has over 600 hp. I love this car, still gets 26 mpg till you step on it. What a hoot. It is a race car, I have got a great deal of pleasure smoking all the hemis running around.

My brother has a '68 'vette with a 427cid and had it rebuilt to get a higher horsepower without going extravagant. It had a little over 90,000 miles on the engine. The shop that did the job showed my brother that the engine has the original crosshatching from the factory. Not even a ridge at the top of the chambers.

The C5 was legit the COrvette's best look and overall Aesthetic appeal. The sportiest, cleanest looking corvette, before they became Ferraris, and got rid of the awesome rear glass hatch dome. Popups and all!

Not on the same level as a corvette but similar in ways, I had a '00 LS1 camaro I bought used with about 80k on it and I drove the absolute snot out of it for another 80k. it never missed a beat. Put a few parts on it over that time but nothing unreasonable. Alternator, window motor, control arm bushing. Other than that brakes tires and oil changes. Probably the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned

@@Beast96GT C6 Z06 had a hand built 7 ltr variation, the LS7 with just over 500hp. Much different animal when it comes to the suspension tuning, body and weight reduction too. They were definitely hardcore

That's not a trunk! Son & I took just my C6 Z51 to Road Atlanta to camp a couple of years ago for the "Mitty's" & got an ungodly amount of gear in the back. Large tent, pop-up, chairs, table, stove, cots, food, etc., etc. Part of a conversation heard from adjacent campers that night: Guy 1: "...all that stuff?" Guy 2:. "No, just the Corvette." I bought a 1990 ZR-1 three years ago, 74k miles. It had been sitting for several years, after getting her going, I put tags on her in May 2020, have driven over 7k miles so far and plan on many more, no garage queen here. She is a blast to drive and the LT5 runs and sounds great. Cool ride. 👍👍🏁🏁

The 99 and 00 FRCs and C5 ZO6s look great. I had a 84 Z28 with a rear targa hatch with a similar look way before the Corvette. 1st gen NSXs had similar one stock Like them too. My coworker who I was friendly with had that car and my ex wife's uncle did as well. I drove both. Sweet handling.

A 2006 Lingenfelter twin turbo Corvette Z-06 did a standing mile, 0-236 mph and never got into 6th gear. Look it up on Y-T, it's amazing to watch. [Wink.] JMO.

Hey Scotty, first off I love your Videos, they're very informative and have taught me a lot. I have a 2007 Mercury Mountaineer with 132,000 miles on it. Unfortunately I got the fluid changed in the transmission and now it won't shift into overdrive unless it has warmed up to operating temperature. I know these 07 Explorers tend to have transmission issues but it seems kinda odd that it would only do it when it's cold and have the correct fluid level considering the heat causes the fluid to expand and would increase the pressure in the system. Is this a problem with the hydrolic shifting system being worn? Or low fluid?

I have a 2005 Mountaineer 4.0 with ~240k miles on it. I would double check the fluid level first. I recently did a drain and fill and noticed some odd shifting during my test drive. I pumped some more fluid in, shifted through all the gears, and let the excess drain out (self leveling). Afterwards, it ran fine. I may have had an air bubble in the system. I would drop by the shop where you had the service and ask them to double check the level. Also double check with them to see if they used Mercon V fluid for 5r55 or Mercon SP if you have the 6r60. It may just be your transmission has a mechanical problem exacerbated by the fluid change. I had a transmission rebuild around 150k with upgraded parts and it is still shifting smooth. Make sure to have the shop use upgraded parts if you need a rebuild. If you happen to have the 4.0 with 5 speed automatic and want to know about the specific problems with the 5r55 transmission check out youtube videos by Fordtechmakuloco titled "The Most Common Transmission Failure On The Ford Explorer Mustang 5R55S & How To Fix It" and "Ford Explorer 5R55S Harsh Reverse & P0741 TCC Performance Valve Body Replacement". I did have to pull the engine last month to repair a timing chain rattle. The primary tensioner between the crankshaft and jackshaft had broken but it still ran OK and was in time. I replaced all the timing components, seals, and the water pump with Motorcraft parts and it runs like a champ.
