I thought the exact same thing. Only Jessica’s son would come out with a line like that! Like mother, like child, in the best possible way. I can learn to garden from most any KZbin garden channel, but only Jess can show me what the garden will give to nourish my mind, heart and spirit and do so, in the most lyrical way possible. Jess, I literally thank God for you and for your family. I need to hear about the fish bait worms shrinking from the cold embrace of the fisher boy. 😊

Springtime is my favorite season! We had an extraordinarily GORGEOUS day here in South Central IL today. Was 75, a slight breeze, not a cloud in the sky and we planted more peas, onions, radishes, I got my cucumbers in the ground and we watered our tomatoes. I have radishes and lettuce coming up. Some herbs are awakening from their slumber. We have had a very cool spring so far. Had some warm days, but tomorrow is supposed to be 58 for a hight and 62 on Wednesday, then get back into the low 70's. Just been up and down. I had windows open, hung 4 loads of laundry on the line and got a sunburn. I LOVE this time of year too. After the rain tomorrow, everything will smell so sweet and fresh again. Awake my soul to Springtime! Yes, it is the best day ever! LOVE your pond. Amazingly beautiful.

Hey Jess, for the pond, you could try adding a little protection from predators (herons, eagles, etc.) with logs and branches from the property, and even some more plants/shrubs along the edges. That would also add some protection for other wildlife that could provide extra food to get the fish a bit bigger (frog eggs, insect larvae). Happy fishing!

Hey y'all, Everything there is so green. I noticed one of the views down at the pond showed a shot similar to the ones you showed us when you first went there to claim your intent to buy the property. I saw all that you are doing and have done and it all looks so impressive. Day by day we build a family, a farm, a sense of community and a life that is pleasing to God. Very majestic. I always am touched by parents that take one on one time with their children one or two maybe three at a time. The smaller the number the larger the impact esp for a child that is with mom or dad for several hours all alone. I hope you can find time for fishing on a regular basis as you will be rewarded later. Beautiful video.......

Jess -- Get a youtuber that stresses fishing and do a collaboration! Lake Fork Guy would be such a fun choice. He is an incredible fisherman and has small children. You could teach him homesteading (he has chickens) and he could teach you how to fish that pond. Or Flair. He needs help learning better animal husbandry. And you could visit his property in Nebraska.
