This is what I expected Ganondorf to be when he first came to smash. I understand Sakurai and his team were under time constraints, but they should've just removed him if they couldn't make him appropriately. Captain Falcon had no source material. Ganondorf had too much source material to choose from. Im still hoping Ganondorf can be taken to the next step and overhauled in the next smash. He's good in ultimate but let's make him great.

the opp has to be in a VERY specific situation for that to even work (not to mention it being a meteor so you can jump out of it. CPU's cant do that), his recovery is no different from m2's since the extra portals won't ever fool someone who actually knows shit, and his "grab range" is just distanced from himself. if you are up in his face or far away, you won't get grabbed. you literally need to be in that exact spot to be grabbed lmao not to mention nothing he has is even close to the PM top tiers in general along with it being PM where every character is meant to be good.

Never liked Ganon as a CF clone, and always felt he should at least have his thunder attacks from OoT. This version seems a bit broken in the variety of abilities he has--the Peach-floating would already make his recovery amazing without his Mewtwo-esque up special, and his grab range and throws seem too powerful--but all the ideas here are solid! Ganon and Samus are the two characters in greatest need of reinvention, IMO. (Also, sword-using Toon Ganon would be awesome.)

And yes, palette swaps (or model swaps, in this case) are included among the these movesets, or at least the model swaps that have no hope of having their own unique movesets (for example of those that do have such a hope, see Luigi and Ganondorf).

His Smash attacks with the sword are even more powerful and unstoppable in Ultimate and his Final Smash is the same final boss in Ocarina Of Time and a boss in Smash. Super Smash Bros Crusade also has a (partially) decloned Ganondorf. His neutral B is his side Smash (warlock punch, not from this video), he actually uses his sword in up air, and up smash. There's a lot more to it.

I would make a couple changes myself. 1. I think the down special should put the characters in the ground. Like, bury them. 2. His DAir should DEFINITELY spike 3. Nerf his Down Throw as it's SEVERELY over powered, and doesn't really give players a chance 4. Change his Final Smash. Keep the electricity thing, but make it a smaller hit box, and anyone caught in it would be attacked by Beast Ganon. The attack would be from OoT's opening cinematic where Ganon swings his dual swords, and that would be the attack. 5. The alternate costume of Phantom Ganon should have the trident as the reflector as PG doesn't have his cape. That's just more of an aesthetic thing.

Part of making Ganondorf a balanced character is one that can easily destroy but one that can also BE easily destroyed. To achieve this, Ganon must not have the best mobility options but instead the greatest power in the game. So giving him the ability to float would create unbalanced gameplay. Now as much as I love the idea of the cape for a reflector, that makes him more of a defensive character and Ganon is an offensive character. I think there are better options for a neutral special than the projectile given to him. I never thought of projectiles and Ganon being a good idea. However, I like the idea of more ranged moves to Ganon with his lack of mobility options. Finally, when I said earlier that Ganondorf is a character that can be easily destroyed, I meant for his recovery option to be very vulnerable. I personally like his current up special as it is fun to use but also very vulnerable. Overall, I love to see how people can rethink the move set to the king of darkness

I mean, I’m pretty fine with Ganondorf being a Captain Falcon clone given the divergent character evolution he’s been given since, but I see where everyone comes from being disappointed in that. The OoT-alt is a bit janky-looking imo and I personally would’ve preferred if all of the voice clips were taken from Melee’s take, but this moveset is certainly really interesting and I’d love to see it implemented for real.
