My wife got big into legos and we ran out of room fast. I gotta figure out new shelves too. Yes white! Shows way less dust!

I have to say that going with white was the right choice, makes the figures pop up more and easy on the cleaning plus the lighthing. As for the cables you can probably fully drill out the wholes you are not going to use for the shelves and pass the wires from one to the other that way, specially if you going to make them to stick closer together; it will depend on how wide are those holes and wires. Do not forget to add the links to those shelves, I want to take a look for my display solution, as I currently have an Ikean cabinet myself and choices for it are limited.

Awesome new shelves! The all white and glass looks very clean! Definitely need anchoring for the doors, they 100% for sure tip very easily when installed

If you're still finding gaps and dust despite having shelf doors, look into your local Daiso (or equivalent) for 'dust tape' or 'airtight tape'. They are rolls of tape that you can stick to the doors to fill up the gaps. Think of them as the shelf-equivalent of tape/brush that you can stick to the bottom of doors.

Your room is pretty organized, even the inside of your cupboard! Love the color scheme! About the gundam organization, it's a good idea to sort it by series, but I think it's also a good idea if you arrange them by scale or categorize them by similar design characteristics. I think the last one is the most unique of them all! Cheers for the good video & enjoy your holiday! 🥂

white is the way to go since it allows for bounce lighting all around the models, and the glass shelves help too.

I do agree with the organization by series. The only other way I would suggest is by date of build or acquired IF you remember when you built them or bought them. One good thing about doing it by series is you shouldn't need to fight size issues as much.

Your shelves look good for your backlog of builds you have left you might need 2 more walls of shelves to fit them all. But I like the view of how they are displayed great job. Thanks for the tour of your room.👍👍

Hi gunpla meli, Thank you for giving a room tour of your gunpla on display. I agree that you should separate the gunpla by series. You essentially have a small store with a backlog of gunpla on the right side of your desk plus your closet.😲😳. I love the new setup Meli!!!I love the Billy bookcases I got one in my room for like my movies/ anime and I huge one that's all 4 of those plus brackets and height extension I plan on putting in the living room, I was considering them or the detolf cases for my Gundams but the way you've described it helped with decision a bit so thank you very much love your content as always and sending love and support from Texas

Thanks for the Update on the showroom, for separating Gundam by series will be finicky so I'd suggest doing all of UC timelines together as best you can followed by the rest of the Gundam series.

Clear acrylic/plexiglass might be good alternatives to glass shelves (lighter too), just needs to be thick enough so they don’t bow under load. Some places can cut them up for you if you just give them dimensions. Not sure if this is an option, but how about rotating out the kits for display? Put some away in storage and bring out some that have been ‘on ice’ for a while. Also keeps things fresh when the display starts to look stale.

Rubber micro shethingfor the wires just clip onto the edge of the glass....also don't suggest pulling the shelves together, that glass could drop. Hide the gaps with white rubber seals there will be one to fit the gap. Pease 🙂

Looking great! Love the lights. What did you do with all those Detolf cases you used to have? I have one Detolf to display some of my favorite figures. But I have 3 Kallax's for my book collection and 3 Laiva bookcases for the rest of my toys and books. I did go with black. Needless to say, mine doesn't look half as good as yours.

The Detolf is being discontinued and they are switching to the BLÅLIDEN similar but it has a frame now which cuts down on the viewing angles which was the biggest benefit of the Detolf.
