So slick! I didn't see they came out with that v-mount plate. Very cool. I've done some RS2 builds with the Tilta Hydra Alien, and it'd be super useful for that.

Great breakdown. I'm building a similar rig. How many hours does the v-mount last with this setup?
@threefoldtv2 жыл бұрын
Depends how much the camera is rolling, but a 99Wh battery probably lasts us over 6 hours. There's a lot of days where we never have to change the battery, and the days we have had to change it we've never gone through more than 2 batteries.

I use my original Ronin S in a similar configuration and got to your video looking for similar setups using the RS3 Pro. Can't believe DJI got rid of the two 12v power ports that sat under the camera on the original Ronin S. You could power the camera and a follow focus motor with these ports. Attaching a v mount battery on the gimbal head is just adding unnecessary weight and a huge step backward from DJI. Can't believe they didnt rectify this on the RS3 Pro

His videos are always very informative. I would like to know if there is another way to power the DJI Ronin with v-log battery, without buying the DigitalFoto Solution Limited Power Supply Baseplate with D-Tap & NATO Mount for DJI RS 2/3/RS 3 Pro? Thank you

Can u do this with the rs3 & the fx3/30 body style?

I know this is an old video, but hopefully I get an answer. Why do most of these builds attach the V-mount battery on the arms or camera itself? Doesn't that add a lot of weight for the gimbal to stabilize? Wouldn't it be better to attach the battery below the gimbal somehow, to avoid the extra load on the arms?

Do a setup video for the Tilta Nucleus-M itself.

Hey there , why the video transmitter isn't on the camera ? we can see at 12:12 that the 2 cables can easily blocks the movement of the rs2. Am I missing somethings ? Thanks for sharing, great videos , great stuff here
@threefoldtv2 жыл бұрын
We played with mounting it on the camera but had issues with clearance considering the Rs2 is relatively small. It just was a lot easier to mount it below. We've never had issues with the cables blocking the movement of the Ronin (having the right length cables as well as cable management really helps with this).

Hi there and thanks for the video. Just suscribed to your channel. I have a question if you may know. Which V battery (electrical carachteristics) would give the same "service" as the original DJI RS2 grip battery (regarding supply time, etc.)? Thanks in advance!

Wow I love your RS2 build. I have 3 questions!! 1. do you have a place for monitor such as ninja v or smallhd? 2. could this rig go with easy rig? 3. how does it compare to tilta regular or advanced ring?
@threefoldtv2 жыл бұрын
AND we have 3 answers! - First thank you! 1. We don't currrently for this one as we upgraded this 6k with the Tilta flip screen mod. That way we have an adjustable monitor and less weight on the full rig. (Plus we generally have someone on a remote monitor pulling focus.) 2. As it is built right now, there is not an easy way to rig it to an easy rig. Unless you were operating it upside down :) 3. Definitely more compact than the Tilta ring. Especially width with our configuration.

You could also have used the Limo connectors on the V-mount plate, so having the USB-C on the battery pack wasn't too critical.
@threefoldtv2 жыл бұрын
That's true! We had a hard time finding any lemo to pocket power connectors. Do you know of any good options?
@EmeraldAudiovisual2 жыл бұрын
@@threefoldtv no. But i would have powered the Tilta power base with Lemo to Lemo. That would have meant, you could power the BMPCC with P-tap and those cables are available plentiful.

Ah yes that makes much more sense. We'll have to give that a try, thanks for the suggestion!

HI. I've BMPCC 6K Pro and Small Rig Full Cage and I've just purchased DJI Rs 2 and I'm facing difficulties in few things. Hope to get some advice and help for some knowledge that helps me to get resolution. 1) I use T5 SSD for storage which requires USBC to attach with my Bmpcc 6k Pro. If I do that I'm unable to attach Camera to Gimbal via USB C. 2) I wish to use given DJI Focus Motor on this Smallrig Full Cage for Bmpcc 6k Pro but the distance is too much with my basic canon 50 mm lens. 3) If I connect Camera to Gimbal or SSD to Camera then how to attach Raven Eye Transmitter. As This also require USB C port.

Dope setup BUT I hardly doubt that with (1) that much weight and no way to mount a easyrig on it and (2) with our skinny arms (better hit the gym and those macros like I am too), this could be a usable rig without taking too many breaks. The position of the handles without a third point will do amazing damage to the middle of your back if you use this for a long time. My opinion... Thats why you see these big rigs put on a ring along with a easyrig, otherwise this setup is such a liability overtime.

Is there a way to get a V-Mount with the handle? I feel like there's not much made to build around the RS3 Pro yet. I've searched YT and most sites that sell accessories for the setup. I have a BMPCC 4K and want to power the Tilta, Monitor, and Camera all in one. Any suggestions?
