Looks like Jia Jia remodeled and cleaned up a bit since I last ate there a couple of years ago. Loved their XLB, but...and please don't hate me...thought the dumplings at Din Tai Fung downstairs at our hotel were better.

Nice video. I wouldn’t really compare ShengJianBao with XiaoLongBao in the same video, though. You can totally do one video for each as they each has many iterations that can fill up a series.

Go try the original 佳佳汤包 (Jia Jia Tang Bao) at People’s square… not the fake Jia Jia that you visited. If you think the fake one is good, the authentic store will blow your mind. Go early cos they sell out by 1pm

There are 2 Jia Jia Tang Bao in shanghai but the one she went to which was written as 佳家汤包 is a spin off. The original store is much better. The original store is called Jia Jia Tang bao as well but the Chinese characters are different. The real deal is named 佳佳汤包 and it is located at People’s square. I have asked the cashier at the original branch and she said that they do not have any other branches. You can tell which shop it is by the massive queue outside it.

We have stay in Peninsula Shanghai 4 time Obviously you have much much more experience in shanghainese food then we are. planning to go to Shanghai sometime in April any suggestion for good local food.
