The best Easter Salad for dessert | Vintage Strawberry Pretzel Salad from Church Pot Lucks

Nothing says the holidays like having a fruity Jell-O salad on your table. My friend Melissa and I made this yummy Strawberry Pretzel Salad dessert from my Volume 1 cookbook. I was surprised that I had not put it on my website yet. Last summer, I made a “shortcut version” of this recipe, called Strawberry Crack Salad. You need to try them both!

I always learned to put the strawberry jello mixture over the ptetzels and put in fridge to set up. Then put the topping on top and put back in fridge for a bit. Spreads a bit easier

I never had this recipe until I was an adult- I love it and forget to make it until I’m reminded- this would be great for Christmas ( the red) or for barbecues (sit it on an ice pack to keep chilled😉)

Our family loves this! We have not combined the fruit, but I probably will next time! We do pineapple & we do strawberry. Always love your videos & it was fun to have a friend join you today! I did grow up having jello a lot & my mom would stir in Cool Whip, but didn’t have this dessert until I was an adult! And I’m so thankful my sister-in-law found it & shared it! I would make this with raspberries pie filling and cut out the jello, and id also probably squirt / dabble chocolate fudge drizzle on top

We call that Strawberry Yum Yum. We used pecans for the bottom & strawberry gel & fresh strawberries for the top. I've never heard of putting pineapple in it, but I bet it's really good. 😊

I’m glad you mentioned that. I was going to ask if pineapple had to be added. I can’t eat pineapple 👍. I’ve never had pretzel salad. Looks delicious.

Large mixing spoons, large rubber spatulas, offset spatulas and narrow rubber spatulas are your friends when mixing ingredients!! Table spoons are inefficient and too easy to contaminate the mix when it touches your hand. Just a suggestion!! I have purchased your cookbooks and love them.

Um, if I've taken a Pyrex out of the oven and stick it in the freezer immediately it is guaranteed to crack and break. Dish looks good too. Let me know what you do to defy science!
