Very true man, love the Danner boot but this was a better route as I am barley getting into these hiking boots. The black color way is also nice, perfect time to get them is now when they are on sale!

I just got these for half off on Amazon. They’re nice! They feel like they would last many years. Most shoes I’ve owned I’m lucky if I get a year out of them. They are a shade or two lighter than I would like and am curious if yours darkened over time?

These definitely didn’t darkened for me as time went on, the brown is very susceptible to the fade and markings. I went ahead and grab the black pair and was much more content with the overall color and reaction.

@@ericvaldezcastellanosI still prefer brown. I’m going to try Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP as suggested by some. Of the conditioners, it can darken quite a bit along with providing above normal water proofing.

Great video. What do you recommend if I'm Adidas Stan Smith (9 US), Nike Air Max 90 (9.5 US), Timberland 6 in (9 US). I included all of these as reference because they're very common. I'm thinking a 9 US for the K6s. Would you agree?

I believe these are made overseas (China), if these were made here in the United States I would assume they would do a better job marketing that.

@@ericvaldezcastellanosI ordered a pair in black, would prefer brown but they sold out. I got my wife a pair and when I saw the boot it is as well made as they appear on video. Compared to Danners which are 2X the price there is no comparison 😂. Cheers man, great video!

Go half a size down for best fit. This boot has a lot of space so going half a size down is ideal in my opinion.

Something to keep in mind is your usage. With hiking shoes it’s often recommended to lean slightly bigger. Take into account if you will be wearing thicker socks in cold weather, as well as long hikes can swell your feet, making tighter fits more uncomfortable. If there’s extra room with hiking shoes in your typical size, that’s usually intentional. If these are just to being casually worn, it’s probably ok to size down. My last pair of shoes I sized down thinking they would stretch out if needed and that day never came. Long days were painful even 6 months later.
