I've been grappling for 5 years and Coach Brian's videos have been the absolute best. Better than most instructionals, and it's free. Thanks!

Thank you Coach !! I have a two fold request : 1) could you do a video on the best ways to get to this arm bar position in the first place ? 2) can you do a video on the best ways to get to the Yoko sankaku ?

You have some of the best sound and camera work and patient training partners on KZbin. Thank you for your channel. My wife just reached her 10th anniversary of Jiu Jitsu (and she broke her hand within the first 6 months, you know that's love of the game). I'm incredibly proud of her and I love that in Jiu Jitsu there's always something to learn.

After you spider hook, you can post on the far foot over the face and get up a little move your body to drive the close shin into the neck, and the neck into the planted leg. Also your hips can push the shoulder in.

I've gone to jiu jitsu 27 times so far. I'm two minutes into the video, i haven't seen any armbar defenses until now. pretty awesome, I normally just hold on for dear life and try to get on my knees and smush them lol. works sometimes.

Gold as usual!!!! My coach taught us something similar, I'm sure I lost some details due to been distracted at class but I think now I dissect it better.

We're lucky enough to have Dave Camarillo as our coach's coach. He showed us this technique a couple years ago, and it's really effective. That elbow deep arm is crucial, and when you tuck your hand super deep into your hip, it puts a ton of pressure on the forearm. One thing he did differently was as he falls to the side and the opponent lifts off the ground, violently kicks his leg straight and smashes them away as he pulls the arm. He has a cool technique for when you go elbow deep with the leg side arm he calls "crazy eye"

Legit as always coach. But “the Best” finishing system has to be one that keeps us on top. Using are weight to smash through their defenses and make locking the hands irrelevant. Maybe that’s the next video? Keep the gold coming!

Love the video as always, really interesting stuff to bring to class, I would also really recommend the silver fox details in armbar, It will blow your mind haha, but I would disagree a little bit in the triangle part, just some little adjustment and this setup could give a really strong triangle game, it's just not finished, mess around with this in mind, I'm sure you will all find very interesting moves.

Great video, thank you!! Does anyone know what to do when they roll up on top, and stack you, and pull their arm out? How to stop that defense against the armbar? Is grabbing the leg down here the best or only way to prevent the stack defense? Thanks!
@TeachMeGrappling2 жыл бұрын
If they have already gotten on top in the stack, you need to try to sweep them. That will be a video in the future. Using this method you won't get stacked.
