I like catching any kind of fish. Of course, the bigger, the better. People say I shouldn't do it, but I put 10 lb test line on an ultra-lite rod and fish for everything with it. I have caught several pike on it. None of them would be anything people who fish Lake of the Woods would boast about, but I was in northeastern New Mexico for only 1 1/2 years and fished in an irrigation lake. I did catch a 30", 31 1/2" and a 33" pike. The heaviest was 9 1/2 lbs.

I love watching you guys. I have caught crappie, sunfish of all sorts, sand (white) bass, striped bass, hybrids, walleye, largemouth, smallmouth, and catfish using jigs. Of course, the size varies on what will catch what, but usually just normal crappie jigs will catch all of them but the stripers. I saw a 51" northern pike caught on a 1/16 oz. yellow curly tail crappie jig up in Quebec. Amazingly, the line was 6-lb. test. LONG fight.

Beautiful Gar and nice big Drum. I went fishing for the first time this weekend and spent the better half of my time cleaning up discarded fishing line. It angers me to no end, I don’t think people realize the damage they do to wildlife by discarding line, styrofoam worm cups and trash. Can you please do a public service and mention to people the damage they cause by littering at the fishing spots. Litter does damage everywhere but the fishing line is very bad, I have seen ducks with line cutting off blood supply to their feet by getting tangled. Heck, I’m sure you know what it can do and have probably seen it for yourself. I once found a Goose with a six pack ring around it’s neck, 😡😡 I will always clean litter when I find it but I would rather be 🎣 fishing. Thanks, love you both, thanks for another great video.
