@@MrSkerpentineIn 1981 the Fairchild Channel F, Atari 2600, Intellivision, Odyssey 2, and Bally Astrocade were on the market. Around 50 atari 2600 games alone were already out. The Apple 2, PET, Vic 20, TRS-80, Zx80, and Zx81 offered deeper computer games. The foundations of the RPG had already been established with Wizadry and Ultima. Adventure games like Zork and Colossal Cave, and even early graphical adventures like Mystery House and Ataris Adventure. Donkey Kong established the platformer that year. Online gaming had started 7 years earlier with the Plato computer network in 1974, and by 1981 university students across the united states could play the behinnings of the MMORPG with MUD on ArpaNET. All I'm saying is that videogames ramped up slowly starting in the 1950s. Most people, even many video game enthusiasts, start and end their early game knowledge with Pong, PacMan, and the NES.

Glad to hear that my childhood Frogger was approved (Frogger 2 Swampy's Revenge on Windows). I can only think of Frogger as a concerned father hopping to save his kids. I loved the different worlds, and this game was one of the few I had played through to completion multiple times as a kid.

I've spent a fair portion of my life thinking that I had just imagined Frogger The Great Quest in a manic fever dream as a 6 year old who was given too much Tylenol. To find out that I had been wrong and it was in fact a real game was not a comfort but a visceral horror that actual people made a game like that and my parents saw fit to buy it for me. 10/10 I never made it past the 3rd area.

I loved this, and I want to add a compliment for the puppeteering, incase it would otherwise go unsung, because your puppeteering is awesome. Seems like a small thing, but it really really works. (Also the ad read was engaging enough that I sat thru it instead of skipping ahead, so kudos on that, too.)
