Hi from France I’ve bought my speedmaster last may and go for a ride in italy in august. 2300 miles from Orleans to Pompéi , and i can tell you she is very comfortable. Some days i ride 310 miles , quite never on hightways , and it was a joy to ride ! I never feel tired nor felt the slighest pain I’m 69 yo

I've had a HD Forty Eight, a Yamaha Bolt & an Indian Scout...but my Speedmaster is head and shoulders above all of them. The Scout was great...until I rode the Speedmaster.

I have an 04 speedmaster. Been riding since 92, I've ridden shovelheads, gold wings, BMW, 67 t120, and others. The speedmaster is th best bike I have ever owned.

I have owned my 2020 speedy since March, already almost 3000 miles. This bike is just a pleasure to ride. I’m 65 so my knees don’t want to bend the way they used to so the forward foot controls, that I thought were kind of weird, are really comfortable. When you ride it, you don’t feel rushed (What) you know, when you ride some bikes you feel like you owe it to the bike to go fast on it. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve ridden with friends that have the crotch rockets and if you scotch a little forward on the seat and lean into it this bike with these big old tires, feels planted and will run with them. Just don’t lean to far. I would absolutely buy this bike again.

I test drove a 2022 speed Master and I was impressed with the comfortable seat and the way it sat with the forward controls. The torque at low rpm was a wonderful surprise. Light enough to feel nimble heavy enough to feel solid. Great engine sound. Great all round cruiser.

I was close to closing on a Softail Slim, but after riding the Speedmaster, that gearbox was just so damn smooth! I also appreciated that the bike was a little smaller (i'm just shy of 6ft and 160lbs), making it easier to throw around and super nimble around the city. But def. has similar vibes to the SLIM

I was very close to buying the bonnie bobber, anticipating some mods including a comfier seat and a handlebar riser. Then I swung a leg over the Speedmaster. It was perfection right out of the box. The ergonomics are perfect for me and it drives like a stick of butter. Absolutely divine machine. ✨️

Cruise control, optional hepco & Becker accessories, some slip on's and the comfiest suspension with it's style and looks plus some of the triumph creature comforts and design options... Putting all things together it's just a really affordable 120-150 mile cruiser to go the distance fuel pump to fuel pump or take you to work in style.

Sorry 12 months late but got here in the end lol.. I bought the Speedmaster because of its comfort, versatility, ie cruiser, bobber, urban, tourer.. Plus you see hundreds of Bonneville Bobbers, T100's T120's but in the 18 months I've had mine (which is also red) I've only ever seen one on the road. It's a great versatile bike.. 🤟😎

what's not to love! 6 speeds, cruise, rain/ride mode, traction control,super easy clutch. i also have high bars, Mids- cause i'm short, a windshield, teardrops, & ditched the pillion..i have NO experience with Sporty, but i have seen a lot of short women struggle with them..i previously had a heavier vulcan and Vstar. My inseam keeps me from the other Triumphs but i sat on way to high for me Tiger❤️a few days ago and also the new 2022 speedmaster, so nice. i was thinking of getting a Slim, but i am not sure i want for my 2nd bike. I dont want to up my cruise and all the other goodies..I have taken my speedy in the mountains as well as highways at 75-80 ish and it holds fine, just a little windshield vibration. I can keep on a group ride of bigger vtwins . i have Over 8k miles and still loving it.. i just don't enjoy the lubing🤣

I’m a Speed Twin owner…I’d say my bike and the Speedmaster are the forgotten children of the bonneville lineup! My Speed Twin is very comparable to the speedmaster in terms of the specs. If you guys ever get up to Bucks County/New Hope let me know, I’d love to do a ride.

I haven’t heard of the Speedy having a rap. Several dealers I’ve been too say the sales and interest are strong but they don’t sell as many due to the higher price. I’d say it’s the most comfortable bike I’ve ever owned and definitely find it the best in the Bonneville lineup. Now that Harley killed off the 1200 Sportster, the closest you can get to that bike is the Speedmaster.

I drive a Bonneville. The Speedmaster is a great bike. I’ve ridden one. It’s a classic bike. If I wanted a classic cruiser I’d buy the bike you’re riding.

seems like the speedmaster is kind of like the sportster of triumphs. Very good baseline to work off of, and can be customized quite a bit. I clearly dont know what I'm talking about lol.

For real though, any bike can be a good base if it feels right for you. they are nice compliment to each other (speedmaster / sportster), but need to get a little more creative when it comes working creatively on parts for triumphs... those underbar mirror I put on were actually meant for HD. But heck anything goes!

I've had two sportys prior to my T bobber black,.simply no comparison, smoother , torque in abundance, and Speedmaster is the same bike with a bigger tank and I loved that ride also.

The speedmaster is a more comforable version of the bobber. Literally the same bike. I have a bobber, and love it. That speedmaster seat seems like a really good idea after 10 hours on the bobber.

Does the Speedmaster vibrate through the handlebars or seat? That's been my issue with Triumph bikes, numb hands as ass after only an hour or so. The other issue with this bike is the tiny tank.

You get a little vibration specially in the lower gears or when you really open it up but it isn't bad..

I don't know what year that speed master is but I was looking at a 2003 model here in Finland at to be honest the one from 2003 is much nicer it has a longer rake on the forks, the forks are all chrome the petrol tank is two colour's, in red and black, black and white or the one I saw yellow and black the handlebars were also lower and straighter, the seat was also nicer with a slight rise over the rear mud guard for a pillion. Maybe you can mix and match parts to order but of the 30 or so used motorcycles up for sale were all similar apart from the two tone colour's oh and mag/alloy wheels rather than spoked wheels. Of the 60 odd used motorcycles for sale 50% were Triumph American the other 50% were Triumph speed masters from between 2003 to 2015 but there was little difference between the American and the speed master. (some of the Americans were belt drive instead of chain drive).

I bought month ago -07 Speedmaster and she had only 24 400 km on the clock... We got in Finland really short 4 month driving season so even older well kepd vehicles are in great condition.

Since they put that 1200 in the speedmaster, it became a contender against the sportster. The triumph motor is impressive. Rode a new thruxton when it came out and its got balls.

Yeah, Harley has to, and is finally stepping up the sportster lineup to compete with bikes like the Triumph Bonnevilles. It’s beyond time the sportster has modern performance with classic looks. I’m just waiting on some more modern sportsters to come out so I can trade in my iron 883 for one!

It's hard for the speedmaster to get love. It's got less power, heavier and more expensive than both the speed twin and t120. If the engine wasn't detuned it would make more sense in buying it.

@@spaceflight1019 adding the seat was a next level game changer. Highway pegs could be a nice addition, right now the forward controls do the job. I’m not big on windshields and head buffeting but they do have their benefits if the right one came along

Small fuel tank…2.5 hours of riding need to fuel again…can not get a center stand on it…. Chrome quality not good….will be rusting very fast…love the motor…. In the all black version… the aluminum side cases will start putting fast…. If you buy one be prepared to spend a lot of time going to gas stations and cleaning chrome…. Just my opinion.

Let me begin with the fact that I love and own Harleys. That being said, the Speedmaster is far superior to the Harley 48. Better fit and finish, faster, more dependable, gets more respect than a sportster, and last but not least, cruise control standard!
