Nice job! This bike is on my short list for a new bike in the near future and the single biggest gripe I have is those beach bars. Just doing that made me want one even more. Everything else was just icing on the cake. Nice proper looking motorbike. Well done, well done.

Your bike looks great. Love the tank colors and the handlebars, as well. I put the shorty bards with pull back risers on my Sporter at one time, while I installed a larger fuel tank. Definitely like the improved handling and control that they provide. Thank you for providing us with an enjoyable distraction.

Very, very well done! It is very much what I would do if I had the money to buy the bike and make the mods. This is my favourite cruiser style bike, and it has a funky/tough look about. The two tone black and white tank with the black rims really make it look as it should have straight from the factory imo. Good job! (Maybe if I could pick up a used one ...)

Thanks for your comments LJ. The tyres are just the stock sizes but they’re fitted to slightly wider wheels so look more chunky than on the standard wheels.

Nice bike. I'm currently doing something similar when I found your video. I've been struggling to find a speedmaster tail tidy with rear light. I have found the one in your video (with integrated indicators) but am hesitating due to potential MOT and legality issues. What has been your experience?

Hi Stephen, I’ve never kept a bike long enough to need an MOT, but the rear lights on the Speedmaster (are still fittted to my current SM) and are supplied by triumph and are exactly the same as fitted by the factory to the TFC Bobber. I’m certain there won’t be an MOT issue when the time comes.

It's a good work. I would like to ask you something. Is it possible to mount the tank of a Bonneville T120 on the Speedmaster? Just 12 liters petrol it's quite to little- i think!

I think you can buy it from Triumph, but I just adapted the stock loom to suit.👍

Nice video, bike sounds sweet. Any particular reason you didn't just buy a Bobber, Seen as though you are making it more Bobber? I'm currently making this decision. I was all in the Bobber until I saw the Speedmaster, and I have noticed it's pretty much the same bike, apart from the seat setup and the 3L larger fuel tank. (Comparing to the new 2021 Bobber with duel disk and larger front tyre, etc)

Hi there... I had the Bobber black before, and many of the parts like the exhaust and bar risers etc came from that bike. Having owned both, I prefer the Speedmaster, it’s more comfy and relaxed to ride, and all round a bit more practical for day to day use.👍

Hi Vivek… I don’t think so, the whole rear mudguard arrangement stops the floating seat off the bobber from being fitted..👍

Excellent mods , I would do almost everything you did, except the rear lights. The one you installed is very slick, looks good. I just prefer the larger tail light. Question, Can you tell us what the rear sprocket change did. Maybe a video on that. The old and new tooth count. Did it help with 1st gear and make it more manageable ? Slow speed maneuvering?Im sure it still kept very long legs, top end, for the highway 👍 Thanks ! Beautiful Bike !

Hi Brian…. Sorry for the slow reply.. been in hospital👎. Regarding the gearing, these things are geared to the moon, I went from stock, to 16T Front and 39T Rear. The bike is so much nicer to ride. Spends more time in the nice part of the Rev range and actually does more MPG because you use top gear more often. I don’t see any down side. The chain stays the same length too… it’s win win.👍

Im having the foot controls moved to center and Standard T-100 handlebars put on for starters. Ive never had a bike with forward controls, not starting now ! Hi Big500 - Thanks for a great video! Coincidently I have a very similar bike to yours (red tank, bobber handlebars w/motone risers, V&H pipes). Question: Mines came with the bobber handlebars and whilst ive fitted the motone risers, i still find it a bit of an awkward position leaning forward whilst also being foot forward. how do you find it and how tall are you?

Hi Kieth… the part number for the lights is A9830140, there is a fitting kit but it’s unavailable, so I fitted my lamps to a tail tidy bracket from British legends www.britishlegends.fr/en/bobber-tail-tidy.html, I cut n shut my wiring to suit, but there is a wiring kit which I think would work better T9830110

These are the bobber bar end mirrors fitted on bobber bars. The view behind is much better than the stock mirrors👍

I’ve found it to be fine. Bare in mind that the tank is only 12 litres, so 130 ish miles in one go is about the max anyway before you need to get off..👍

Hi Alfie... thanks for the comments. I got them from Louis MOTO, but I have a feeling they no longer stock them. If you google shark exhausts they should come up. They’re the same for the Bobber or the Speedmaster, and are EU compliant, but you can remove the baffles quite easily👍

You did very well picking up a 2nd hand tank..! How much did that set you back out of interest? I’d love to swap out the fuel tank on my Bobber for SM/T120 tank. Have you sold your old tank yet?

Also - I love those multi-function rear lights. I didn’t realise there was an OEM solution! Would be good to have a specific video on how you fitted the whole tail tidy. Adam Simper Hi Adam... it’s a bit more involved. I had to cut and splice the wires, but I think now there is a specific loom from triumph which would make it much easier. The number plate bracket is fro British legends in France..

Ridiculously high. Loads of folks on the bobber and Speedmaster forums have lowered the gearing 16t front and 39t rear is a popular choice of sprockets. I’ve had 3 bobbers and 2 Speedmaster and they’ve all run this gearing and the ride is much improved. Some folk like the standard gearing, but it’s not for me.🤓😎

Good job, but I would have left the red tank on it. For my taste. You should also get the new premium seat they make now. It would look great. If they would make an all black speedmaster with alloy wheels here in the US, I think I would get one instead of my Rebel 1100cc.

@big500 very cool. I got the new Rebel 1100cc DCT here in Jersey, but the ergonomics bother my shoulder after 35-min. I'm 5'10 and it's starting to pull. I'm very interested in the speed master. I already have the Omega speedmaster. 😄 I'm watching "Red Ang" from England all the time, he got the speedmaster also.

I like the bike especially the flat handle bar which is more like bobber black. How is it to drive when you have flat handle bar and the leg position is in the front. I think the whole dynamic changes between having a bobber and speedmaster with flat handlebar.
