@GabrielTheGuitarist3 жыл бұрын
It’s actually not bad for c4-c6 now especially if you’re past your mid 20s. I looked at a ‘09 for 18k and insurance wouldve been 187. Instead I got 2 Genesis Coupes for 198 a month. I kinda regret it now because all 3 suck in snow, but at least the vette had a very easy engine to come by in case something happens lol
@miataenjoyer27863 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielTheGuitarist how much do you think C4’s for a 16 YO would be? Currently have a deal with a friend and he’s got an old ‘89. Just curious
@GabrielTheGuitarist3 жыл бұрын
@@miataenjoyer2786 first off, it would be EXTREMELY irresponsible to put a 16 year old behind the wheel of any vette. While they may be mature at times, with this generation, they dumb af and will lose any sense for ‘clout’ from the pressures of social media. That kid and car would be wrapped around a tree no doubt. That being said, back in 2007 it wouldve been anywhere between 4750-6000 annually depending on insurance, region, parents history with insurance etc. In today’s money and with cell phones being the causes of so many deaths/crashes? I don’t want to know, but I’d be willing to bet it’s somewhere 8000-10000 annually. That kid should wait to have a a car of that pedigree after starting off with a cheaper, less power sports car. Because believe it or not, the more type car you drive throughout the years your insurance can trust you to give you good rates.
@GabrielTheGuitarist3 жыл бұрын
@@miataenjoyer2786 I had an ‘95 Eclipse GSX, ‘02 Camaro, now have ‘10 and ‘13 Genesis Coupe Rspec. My insurance for the camaro was fairly high, but not unmanageable. But when I hit 25, it fell down to like $80. And then I dropped it down to liability because it was at 250k miles and I was selling it so I was maybe paying 30-40 a month. It’s not worth putting a kid behind a ‘high power’ car (even if it’s slow in today’s standard) a kid won’t have the same impulse control an adult will/should have, or the common sense.
