Thanks, a great choice, also. I think this is intended to hit the market at a price everyone can afford. What I'm impressed with is that the quality is there too. These are high-quality tools at affordable prices. It could mean the difference in someone getting into woodworking or not being able to. Thanks for your comment and watch. @@brown_dog_builds I’ve been seeing them more and more in timber framing videos. Been watching a bunch of your videos along with more timber framing and wanna get more into it all but don’t know anyone around here who’d let me check one out. Been loving all of these though. The actual detail in woodworking seems so much more satisfying than just rough framing.

The red stuff is hard to pull the trigger on at their prices. This make it a little easier to get started if you don't have proper layout tools.

It seems like Goingmake is making a serious attempt to get their name out. They have sent all the same items to several creators for review. I have yet to see anyone find something bad to say about any of them. The only downside is that except for a thin rip jig and different length T-squares this is their entire lineup. Good luck with your channel.
@brown_dog_builds Жыл бұрын
I would agree. The bench dog clamps are a simple design but I have been using them constantly. Thanks for the support and encouragement.
@SaintFredrocks Жыл бұрын
I have their 12-in T-square. Some of the paint was missing on two of the 32nd markers and there was a burr on some of the holes such that it wasn't square. I returned it for a second that had similar the exact same issue. I used a drill bit to get rid of the burr, and it went together perfectly square. All of the little 32nd holes seem to be accurate and the edges are straight. For under $30, to get a tool with this precision is amazing. I don't care about the edge marker: most of it is there anyway.
@gregghernandez27147 ай бұрын
I will gladly invest in Chinese tools (like an accurate T square) because it is a tool that has been around for ages. Tools I absolutely will not buy are tools that are obvious knockoffs like the Microjig table saw jig. That tool took years and tons of hours to develop. It's just not right to buy something that a seller basically just put into a 3D printer, made a few small changes and mass produce them. This appears to be a really good company to buy from.
@brown_dog_builds7 ай бұрын
It is. Their commitment to quality is obvious. Even down to the packaging.
@gregghernandez27147 ай бұрын
Your videos and Flynndog woodworking have convinced me to invest my money in these tools. I don't begrudge anyone who buys the premium red tools. I however would be scared to death of dropping one and putting it out of square. I'm no klutz, but accidents do happen. I love those T squares and will probably invest in several of them. Thanks!

What a great shame. I'm in the UK and I've looked on Amazon UK. And these tools are available.but more expensive by.£10 more. for each tool. and whatever dollars marked in US. £10 more in UK. and also they only do Imperial not metric. which seems a bit strange if they're selling on UK Amazon. as Imperial really isn't used that much anymore. or standard as you say in US. I go to Bangood For quality low priced woodwooding tools. Mostly looking at reviews on.hooked on wood.a youtuber. a European chap. who speaks in English for youtube videos, Very good reviewer of China tools. Very much copies of the red tools, as you call them. And some of the tools are even better.

@@brown_dog_builds Well, I'm agreeing with you, they look great products. I was just mentioning that they are significantly more expensive to buy a U K than the US. Plus, they don't appear to do metric. It's a shame for the rest of the world. as North America appears to be the only area in the world. still clinging on to the imperial system Or, as USA would call it, standard system, I'm an old fella, and it took me a while. to get used to a metric. and always thought of Measurements in imperial and then converted it. But now. it's like metrics. Now my first language. it makes So much sense Not to be using fractions anymore.

@Flanders649 Жыл бұрын
Why is that a stupid response? He brings up a valid point. I’m all for buy American made, but until we can bring most manufacturing back to the US and provide people livable wages, these might be a good alternative to someone just starting out that can’t afford the “Cadillac” of tools until they are in a position to upgrade.
@brown_dog_builds Жыл бұрын
If you noticed in the video, I used an American made Woodpeckers Square to check the square of the goingmake brand. I purchased all of my WoodPeckers tools. The goingmake brand tools I am reviewing were given to me. I own a Harvey Tablesaw and Bandsaw as well as Grizzly woodworking machines. I prefer tools that are reliable, accurate, and well-made. Where they are from doesn't usually factor into my decision-making as a first priority.
@davidlloyd2831 Жыл бұрын
@@brown_dog_builds I was not being critical of you just stating a fact. Whenever possible I prefer to buy American made. Yes I know Apple is an American company that shipped manufacturing their products to China as have many US companies. I am also aware that many woodworkers may not be able to afford Woodpecker tools, or refuse to pay the price for their tools. It is an individual decision that each person should make. I do not fault anyone for buying items based upon price, but once they do they cannot complain about the lost of USA manufacturing jobs, or why we import so much stuff from China and other countries. Cannot have it both ways.
