Every time I get a haircut, I get the same speech. You need tons of layers for your thin curly hair. Then I go home , hate it and wait about 10months up to a year to let it grow out. They usually cut 6 inches with tons of layers and it makes it very hard to put up in a bun.

That's so me, jumping from stylist to stylist. I think I explain pretty clearly but they always seem confused and then I leave with a barely so-so cut. Years of this. So many don't even section the hair or blend right.

I live in America and trying to find a hairstylist as a fine haired wavy person is a chore. The "choose a better hairstylist if you don't want your hair to look bad" energy has the same vibe as "choose a better partner if you don't want to be abused". I do want to try growing my hair long one day, and possibly donate it to Children With Hair Loss. If you feel so inclined I'd love to see DIY haircut tutorials for fine hair! As I said before many fellow American women forego going to the salon since the prices are insane for subpar results and experiences.

Your haircut is basically what I want with my hair minus the color because I don't want any more hair loss. It looks great on you and it has a lot of movement. You didn't mention what products you have in your hair to give it the bounce and volume.

What do you suggest for hair thats thin and fine and flat on the top and crown but from ears down course, frizzy with a tendency to look to thick making the whole look off. I don’t want to cut my below shoulder hair because it’s naturally grey white and stunning and youthful.

my hair is so confused. It's thin but coarse and so it's heavy and it flattens out on top. I thought if I grew it long I could just tie it up but then all the hairs come out of the edges and stick straight out. What would be a good cut for my hair?
