Ciao! Thank you so much for showing us how to make this chili sauce. Would you say that the chili you use is about 500 grams or half a kilo? If so, then the salt used for such a recipe is 50% which seems like a lot!!! .. and 300ml of Olive Oil would mean 60%

Chilly is about 1 kg salt is about 220/230 grams oil about 250/300 ml. Ciaoooo

Hi there thank you for a great compliment. You can do it, with any chilli pepper,and is like Calabria recipe, but little bit different. Because is Puglia version, were l came from. Ciaoooo.

Mega salty I had to add heaps of paprika and tomato to try and get rid of the overpowering saltiness. Put an 8th of the salt

@@CookingwithanItalian I love it. We grow our own peppers and last year I reduced the salt a little bit after the first batch. My friends and family really enjoyed it. Just made my first batch this year. Thank you for the fantastic recipe If you were closer I would send you some peppers.
