Hello Sam & Max!! My family loves the channel! We love the recipes you’ve shared! We all sit around and watch your shows until we stop and say, that’s it... that’s the one we’re attempting this week! By the way this is my 3rd nomination for my Father! One on Facebook and one on Instagram! That’s how deserving he is! My father deserves this Evo!! He needs this Evo, Sam!! He works so so hard and never asks for any handouts! Never gives up on anything! We spend sooo much time around family, friends and food! This opportunity would only add to those memories after a hard weeks work! Let’s Do it SAM!! Let’s Go! Keep up the great work!

I would like to nominate my husband. We have been together for 18 years and as far back as I can remember he has always had a passion for grilling. I can remember when all we had was a tiny grill that sat a foot off the floor and you could only fit a few pieces of meat on it and he would sit on a crate and grill for hours to feed our whole family. His greatest joy is to see his family happy and have our kids tell him how delicious his food is. This is a man who watches countless videos for hours before he grills to make sure his food is perfect. We are huge foodies and always looking for something new to grill each week. (smash burgers were amazing!). He is such a giving and selfless person and never asks for anything as long as his family has what they want and need and this would be a great way to thank him for all he does for us. He is a huge Sam the cooking guy fan and this would make his father's day so special. We also will be buying our first home this year and this would be an amazing addition. So please consider my husband, our grill master for this awesome gift!

I’m nominating my husband Eddie who recently became a father in March. He’s always loved to grill but ever since he became a father to our little girl Abigail, he’s become our own personal chef 👨‍🍳. He’s a nurse and works 12hr night shifts, and still comes home to help. He’s been the best daddy and is so deserving of this grill.

I would like to nominate my boyfriends dad. I personally do not have a great relationship with my own, but his dad is amazing. Has had cancer and overcome that. Raised his two boys on his own and now he is happily married. He has always been so supportive and helpful to both his children. Ever since I've come into the family he's been so kind. We have dinner with him and his wife every other week right now. He either grills or does a Dutch oven over a fire. Always cooks DELICIOUS meals! Pork chops, burgers, hot dogs etc.. and I would love to have this as a surprise. He is a loving and caring dad and would do anything for his boys, so I'd love to be able to tell my boyfriend that we can give it right back. Covid has hit my job hard unfortunately so I cant get anything too expensive but this would be a dream. I love the show and my boyfriend enjoys the show to, munchies has been my favorite videos! Thank you guys for the entertainment 💜 #samthecookingguy #fathersday thank you everyone for the love on my entry, I appreciate it very much ☺️

I am nominating my husband, Jason. He is a father to 3 children ages 21, 18, and 16. He has sacrificed so much to get us where we are today working 70-80 hours a week at times in a very stressful industry. It is amazing that he got this far considering his tumultuous childhood. He dropped out of high school when he was 16, moved out and got his GED when he was 18, and then taught himself everything he needed to know to get an entry-level position in IT. From there he just kept learning more and more so that he could keep advancing and is now a Director of Sales in a large telecommunications company. He is a wonderful man who has been through so much but has never given up and is always striving to be a better person. We are so lucky to have him and he would love an Evo! We have recently discovered your youtube channel and have been cooking up some of your recipes. Our favorite so far is the Copycat McRib recipe-so tender and delicious. The chipotle pepper really sets it apart! Keep making videos and wonderful food, Sam and we will keep cooking and enjoying it all!!

Alright so here it is... my dad passed away from melanoma cancer when I was young. My mom remarried to an awesome step dad who raised me as his own. To this day he serves our family by cooking us incredible meals. He started cooking in high school where he worked at Wendy’s and has always loved being in the kitchen ever since then! Just this passed week we made Sam the cooking guys fried chicken recipe together. My step dad Mark Townsend deserves this!!!! So many good memories will be made. Cheers! #samthecookingguy

My husband is an amazing man. He does nearly all the cooking for our household, which includes my 86+ year old grandparents, my mom, me and our one year old son. All of that means generational differences of opinion over food tastes and prep techniques, which is often frustrating. But he takes it in stride and continues to produce delicious food day in and day out. Over the last year of parenthood (and COVID), we have learned how important it is to lean on each other through all the stress in our lives. This year brought many challenges, besides learning how to be parents and deal with a pandemic, I was laid off and really struggled mentally to handle being unemployed. Through that, my husband supported me and listened to what I was going through, and stood by me no matter what. Thankfully, I am now working again. Through it all, my husband has worked hard every day to make sure we are provided for and then he comes home to cook almost every day. He loves cooking and especially loves watching your videos. I know he'd love an Evo, but I also know he is very unlikely to buy one for himself. Please consider him for the Father's day giveaway. I honestly can't think of a more deserving person.

I'm nominating my dad for this giveaway. Besides his love for outdoor grilling (he helped build the outdoor "kitchen" at our house), he deserves this for a much bigger reason. When I was 7, I was diagnosed with AML, and needed a half-match bone marrow transplant. My dad ended up being my bone marrow donor, sat on a machine for 6 hours, and that transplant saved my life. Without him I wouldn't be here. My dad serves and protects his community every day at work and is the most humble, loving man I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He's taught me so much about cooking and grilling over the years, as well as so much more. He would LOVE this EVO, and I would love to give back to him in any way that I can. #samthecookingguy

My husband Juan is the epitome of a deserving Father. We love your show and watch all the time with our 3 sons. Juan is an Army veteran who has now devoted his life to helping others. He worked as a Police officer for a few years then felt the calling to work with our local youth. He now works for a non profit organization and is the Director for After School Programs. He never asks or expects anything for himself. Through all of his hard work, we have been blessed to build our dream home. We enjoy spending time poolside with family and friends. If he were to be selected, this would be a wonderful addition to our dream home.

I want to nominate my husband. He isn’t a dad in the “traditional sense”. He doesn’t have biological children. But he came into our lives when my sons were 5 and 8. He has gone above and beyond to help raise the boys just like they were his own. He taught them how to tie their shoes, how to mow the yard, how to shoot a gun, and so many other things. He taught them all the things that a boy should learn to grow into an outstanding man. You don’t see many boys learning chivalry these days either. But my sons have learned those things from my husband as well. They open doors for me always, they pump the gas for me, they treat me (and all ladies) with such respect. They truly are growing into fine young men. And they couldn’t have done that without my husband teaching them. I’m so thankful he took on our family as his own when he didn’t have to. He loves us unconditionally and there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not so thankful for the man he is and the young men he is raising our boys to be.

I think the path of becoming a great father includes the fundamental steps of navigating through three basic things: sleep deprivation, constant feeding, and questionable release of bodily fluids (i.e puke and poop). Unfortunately for my poor husband, the undertaking of mastering these skills started with me, while I was pregnant with our now two month old baby boy. Throughout my life my mom would reiterate how much she loved being pregnant and how it was the best time in her life. I was so excited! This was about to be awesome! I couldn’t have been more wrong. I struggled with constant nausea and vomiting for almost 7 months of my pregnancy. During this time, I barely had an appetite for water let alone any actual food. This is where my amazing husband stepped in and the journey of his love for cooking (and being a badass dad) began. Daily while I was getting ready for work (which was at the ass crack of dawn), my husband would stumble his way to the kitchen and start preparing my meals. He didn’t just throw me a nut bar and say “have fun, good luck!” but he would spend an hour every morning making sure the baby and I had the best breakfast, lunch and snacks. After he would come home from work at 7pm, he would then do the same process again for dinner. I can’t even count how many hours he spent in the kitchen making sure first and foremost the baby and I had the absolute best nutrition we could during what was, for me, the most challenging time in my life. After welcoming our baby boy two months ago and he is now getting even less sleep, he is still stumbling to the kitchen in the dark - preparing bottles and making meals. Even when he’s exhausted and he himself hasn’t eaten in hours, he will constantly run up meals (and chocolate) to me while I’m tending to the baby as he works from home. Unfortunately for him the sleep deprivation, constant feeding and questionable release of bodily fluids doesn’t look like they’re going to go away anytime soon (cue 3am blowout->emergency bath->debate whether to just throw the whole outfit out), he glides through parenthood with ease, taking care of one meal and dirty diaper at a time. He is the most amazing husband and now the most amazing father and if you you choose him, know that this grill is going to someone who is going to spend many many hours/days/years providing the absolute best meals (and memories) for his growing family. We couldn’t love him any more and we really hope you choose him!!

“AND HERE WE ARE!!”……I would like to nominate my husband Dalton for the Evo giveaway. My husband first discovered your youtube channel in September last year while he took a few weeks off after the birth of our first child. During this time he found your channel and instantly connected with you and your passion for cooking. He has watched all your episodes and eagerly anticipates your new episodes each week. Every night after dinner, without a doubt your face appears on our tv screen. You have become a regular in our household. He has created and followed many of your recipes and has even switched to Japanese mayo! Due to COVID, he was laid off and it was your channel and your face that kept him hopeful. He just started back at work but of course the future of his job is unknown with this new economy. Daltons passion is cooking. I know without a doubt this EVO would be a game changer for him and would be the ultimate gift for him. I think it would be a full circle moment to receive this as a fathers day gift as it was when he became a father that he discovered your youtube channel. #samthecookingguy @daltonauthier

I am nominating my awesome husband (and Dad of our two kiddos) Brian because he is the BBQ chef of the household. He works with an old, well-used grill we bought him for Father's Day years ago, but would LOVE this new grill. We watch you cook on it ALL the time...the whole family! The best example of his superpower BBQ skills was on full display when our Thanksgiving plans up North, at my sister's house, derailed due to the power outage (ON THANKSGIVING DAY!) halfway through the cooking of the turkey and all the sides! So he took charge and fired up their grill to finish cooking the huge turkey... on the grill! He also cooked the rest of the sides on the grill too. The power never did come back on during our whole turkey day, but the turkey was cooked perfectly (as well as the "grill gravy", stuffing, mashed potatoes, and MORE!). He truly saved the day and is most deserving of this amazing prize. He is our grill master, our personal Mr. Fix-It (we call him Schneider!), and all around amazing Dad and husband.

I am nominating my husband for this. He has been dreaming about creating a backyard set up like yours. We have been together for 15 years. After a long journey we became parents 3 1/2 years ago and we are expecting baby #2 in a few weeks. Through all of the fertility treatments and painful losses he has stood by me and been my rock. He is an amazing father...so patient, loving, and steady. When he talks about getting the EVO he always says how he envisions cooking food as the kids play in the yard and one day teaching them how to cook as well. Happy Fathers Day to all tomorrow!

I would like to nominate my father, being an immigrant father he worked his way and faced a lot problem. He came to America basically with nothing and worked all types of job from working in construction, to driving taxi, he worked hard and bought our present house. He gave me and my sister best gift of all, which was gift of education. He made sure we don’t have any student loan and fulfilled all my wishes, even at cost of his desire. We might have our differences but he’s a great father and always put his kids first. He had a rough last year, but he always has his tough warrior face on and has always been the rock of family who keeps everything and everyone together. He loves to cook, he would really love to cook on that evo and I also love to cook and I would cook for my family. #SAMTHECOOKINGGUY love the show and keep up the great work, and whoever wins this evo will really enjoy it and have a good day.

I would like to nominate my dad. He is 72 years old and a Veteran of 22 years and was in Operation Desert Storm. He currently works two jobs, as an optometrists, one at a clinic and one at a hospital. He is one of the kindest souls I have ever met, he constantly is striving to give back to others. He regularly does pro bono work for the local shelters and programs in my town. He also spends tons of time with my brother, who has a severe autism, helping him with summer school or just grabbing ice cream on summer day. He is a person I strive to be like and someone I am proud to call my dad. My dad loves grilling up some chicken or a burger, his "secret recipe" spice blend for burgers is my favorite. I've shown him some of your videos loves your sense of humor and enjoys cooking in general. He would love to try some of my moms Thai recipes on the Evo. First of all, we love your show … especially my husband Evan, who I’m nominating! You’ve actually met him because he spent an extra day in San Diego after a work trip just so that he could eat at both Not Not Tacos and Graze, and although you spent a couple of hours talking to him you’d never know his unique story of fatherhood. Here’s a fraction of it, and I think you’ll see why he’s deserving. I met Evan as a single mom in 2009 with a 5 and a 7 year-old. We both worked at the YMCA where Evan was a sports director. My kids were immediately drawn to him; I was too, of course, but it blew me away to see how he connected with them. I remember thinking, “this guy is going to be an amazing father someday.” The kids seemed to know it, too. In fact, one day in the parking lot my son asked Evan to come to dinner with us, and at dinner he asked Evan to be his dad. I was mortified! But Evan just took it in stride. Maybe he knew something… Fast forward to 2014. Evan coordinated the most incredible marriage proposal, and like everything he’s ever done he made it about our entire family and not just about me and him. The four of us were in Seattle walking through Pike Place Market when we saw a busker playing the cello. She looked at us, started a new song, and before I knew what was happening my daughter was singing a song Evan had her learn for the proposal, my son was filming, and I was staring at a ring Evan personally designed for me. Fast forward one more time to today. Our daughter is 19, our son is 17, and Evan and I are #onein4. We tried so hard to have a baby of our own, but after eight pregnancies we never got to grow our family. I think all the heartbreak we endured through those losses could have easily torn our family apart, but somehow it made us stronger. Thankfully Evan knows that being a dad is about much more than DNA, and he’s the best father our family could hope for. If cooking was its own love language, it would be Evan’s. It’s his favorite hobby, and not a day goes by when he’s not asking “what are you in the mood to eat?” Luckily for us Evan has your KZbin channel “on speed dial,” so when one of us says we want something he’s not sure about he can almost always find inspiration from you.

I would like to nominate my husband, Tim! He is an amazing father to 3 boys who love him more than anything. Our first 2 boys’ mom left them back in 2012 when they were only 5 and 7 years old. For the next 5 years he raised them completely on his own without any help from her, physically or financially. And still to this day... she is not in the picture. I’m thrilled to be their mom now but I have to give the credit to him for what amazing boys they have turned out to be. He has given everything for them and I’d absolutely love for him to have this in return. He loves loves loves to cook and I know he would have so much fun with it! I would like to nominate my fiancé Jacob Miller. 3 years ago he was “very sure” that he did not want to have kids for a long time if he wanted any at all. Kids TERRIFIED him and he never had experience with children. Then we found out I was pregnant. (We Found out 20 weeks in, oops 😬) Even with our time almost cut in half to prepare for a baby, Jacob took it in stride and he handled a newborn child like it was nothing and was never afraid to do anything. It was like the thought of never having a child never existed to him. He’s a nurse and works 12 hour shifts and would still come home and relieve me of my duties and even make dinner and put our daughter to bed just to do it all again the next day. He also worked full time and supported me and our daughter while I finished nursing school and was not working. Then, he continued to work full time and go back to school and finish and never took time away from his family. Here we are 2 years later and have another baby girl (10 days old now) and now that I have been furloughed from my local hospital due to low patient census Jacob is back to supporting the whole family by himself and NOT ONE COMPLAINT DOES HE HAVE. He’s so proud to have 2 little girls and he is not afraid to show his affection which I find rare in dads these days. Some days he gives more hugs and kisses to our oldest than I do in a week and she absolutely can not go to sleep without cuddling her dad in her bed at night. Sam, I don’t believe you could find a more kind, loving, and hard working man to gift this grill to. (He also makes me any of your recipes I want) thanks :) He only has Facebook and his name is Jacob Miller 😬 #samthecookingguy

I nominate my husband, Thomas Comb! We are celebrating his first Father's Day this year. He has been an amazing father figure to his 2 nieces and his nephew, and has looked forward to fatherhood for years and years-- and this year we finally welcome our beautiful baby girl! He really is our hero. He does all the home renovations, yard work, is there at the drop of a hat to help his family and friends, and somehow finds time to pursue his love of cooking and treat us to amazing dinners. He's a genius in the kitchen and on the grill. He's dreamed of owning an EVO ever since we started watching your channel years ago. He deserves this and so much more, it would just mean the world to be able to give him this for Father's Day--red is even his favorite color! I believe this EVO was made for him, and believe me when I tell you no one could possibly be MORE HONORED to have your face staring at his crotch while he cooks.

As him and I have gotten older I cook more with his help and he had watched u cook on your own evo and he said it looks really neat. My dad and I have had ups and downs and him and I are both quieter people but he has thought me things only a father could. He this helpful, caring, loving, and insightful. The way he views things are very different from most people and that’s what makes him deserve to get this reward. Love the videos keep up the amazing work. And you don’t make “stupid sh*t” you make amazing food that has helped my dad and I reconnect. Thank you.

Hey Sam, I would like to nominate my husband John. He loves your channel but even loves more to make an amazing dinner for his family. He loves to cook for his family and relatives all the time. I use to think maybe he did not like my cooking lol, but that’s not the reason why. Barbecuing is his relaxation, but made me realize it’s one of his many ways of showing his love and affection. Thank you for being a part of that. He even made your bbq chicken melt and it was amazing!! Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there. Thank you

I'd love to nominate my father Steven for the Father's Day giveaway. He has always been a great dad to my brother and I as well as a fantastic husband to my mother for over 35 years. Recently he had to upend his entire life to move to Florida to take care of his ailing mother. He had to quit his job driving a school bus, which he absolutely loved to go down there. My dad has multiple siblings, but he decided he was in the best position to be the one to help his mom. He also very rarely gets to see my mom because she hasn't been able to get a new job in Florida yet (she tries to visit when she can). Even though they talk daily, he is still very upset that he doesn't get to see her very often I know he would love to get this as a gift. Please choose us!

I would like to nominate my husband, he is a US Army, Special Forces soldier and he is my own personal hero. He has been on several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and has been there this time since the beginning of the year and due to this pandemic, he will probably be there till the end of the year if not more. He is not only an amazing soldier but also a phenomenal husband and father to our small babies (1 and 3 years old). We are so excited to have him come home already and this would be the best gift and surprise for a man that loves to cook and BBQ (GOD, I MISS HIS GRILLING!). Thank you and I love your show!. #samthecookingguy

I would like to nominate my husband, Scott Englund. When we first met about 15 years ago, he was afraid to cook as he simply didn't know how. I did most of the cooking and had told him that there is no right or wrong with cooking and that experimenting and mixing up the seasoning can be fun. Sometimes things you make are to never be revisited, but sometimes they are really great and it can be really rewarding. Fast forward 15 years, Scott is not only my husband but also a wonderful and loving father of our two children. Aside from everything else he does for our family, he now does most of the cooking for our family, experiments all the time, and rarely am I disappointed (can't say the same of the kids as we have a couple of picky eaters!!). He has really developed a love of cooking, being able to enjoy something he created, and seeing that others are sharing in that enjoyment. We have been watching your show and both have come to love it. It's also quite comical (BTW, we vote no censorship!). Your use of this Evo grill/cooktop has inspired my husband to start researching this grill for consideration of replacing our current grill. I can think of no one more deserving and If he were to win this grill, I am certain he would be even more inspired with his creations! Either way, we love your show! Growing up in a one-room apartment with 5 people was one of the hardest struggles we’ve ever been through in the 90’s. My dad went to work for 12 hours a day, 6 days a week and somehow, he always managed to find time to spend time with his wife (my mom) and his three sons (me and my two older brothers) without looking tired. Although my dad provided for us alone, he was a victim of alcoholism. I remember him always drinking a 12 pack of beer a day until he passed out and woke up at 4 in the morning to go to work. My father kept this up for the next 14 years, we went through apartments to houses, all on his own he managed to give us the better life at the cost of his health. My dad was never perfect, but he was always driven to take care of his family at all cost. In 2008, during the market crash, my mom was told by his doctor that his liver was predicted to fail within the week. During the same week the government put a “FOR SALE” sign on the front driveway of our house, the house my dad tried hard to buy. After my dad heard that our house was for sale, he left the hospital and didn’t listen to his doctor, so my dad stopped drinking, went on a salt-less diet, and went back to work. Luckily, he was 100% recovered and managed to keep our house. In 2011 my dad started his Janitorial business. His drive, motivation, and moto were noticed by the director of Little Tree Montessori, so she hired him to clean all of her schools in the Bay Area. During the next 12 years of work my dad has changed many people's lives, he’s been an inspiration, and has fixed over 9 Montessori's. My father put his 3 sons through college and last month I graduated from college with a degree in computer science and I owe that all to my dad. Ever since my dad left the hospital and cheated death his favorite activity has been grilling with his family (us), unfortunately he’s never been there for big events like birthdays, graduations, and holidays because he’s always at work. Because my father is such a hard working guy I would like to nominate him ! His name is Gustavo Arellano. #SAMTHECOOKINGGUY

I would like to nominate my dad. He's always trying to cook for us even when the conditions are barely workable. Our oven is completely broken and I'm not even sure how he manages to BBQ with our outside setup but he makes it work. He cooked everyday for the months of his unemployment, but unfortunately we don't have the money to get him anything close to a Evo. Anything you can do to help would mean the world, and thanks for another great video.💜

I nominate my husband Josh. Not only is he an amazing dad in general but he has somehow worked full time at home through this ordeal while staying patient with me and our young kids. He’s funny, hardworking, and completely selfless with our family. Not to mention he bought me your knife for Mother’s Day 😍 our entire family watches your videos together and our five year old absolutely loves watching and being involved in the cooking. We drove out to California in early March to try both restaurants and loved not only the food (enough to have four meals in a weekend) but the staff was amazing and we were lucky enough to get a picture. I cooked the cheeseburger crunch wrap last night and it was amazing, you’ve changed the way our family eats and approaches cooking.

My older brother deserves this EVO. Not only is he a father of my 2 year old nephew, he also took on the responsibility being a stepfather for my oldest nephew, which is never easy. He works so hard and so much at his job. Working double shifts, overtime and weekends to make ends meet at FedEx. So much wear and tear on his body and exhaustion, while still being a loving and caring father to the boys. I truly believe in my heart and he deserves this a lot more than words could ever describe. I love him. He's my only sibling and something like this would really melt his heart. Why my hubby should be nominated as the best Dad ever! My 2nd husband and I got married over 16 years ago, I had a 4 year old boy and he had 2 boys, 7 and 8. My son loved having instant brothers. They all got along and we all made sure all were accepted, wherever we were. The years passed, and they called each other brothers and they still act like it. Unfortunately, we only had his boys every other weekend, but the boys were always looking forward to seeing each other when I picked them up. The first thing they’d say when I picked them up, or when they started driving over, was, “where’s Brandon?’’ and my son would look forward to “when do the boys come??” Fast forward, my sons are all older, the youngest, mine, was 18, and in his senior year of high school. My husband, who was an Army National Guard Captain, at the time, was sent to Afghanistan for almost a year. He did his job, telling me very little of it, but did tell me of an interpreter boy, 18 years old, who became his sidekick. This boy was very helpful, different than the other interpreters, he loved the United States and so loved the US soldiers. He remembered being a small boy, and a soldier handing out candy during Christmas, thinking he wanted to grow up and be like him. His elders told him that Americans were bad, and they grew up believing this, but not him. He reasoned, “how can they be bad when they always are so good to us?” Time went by and literally more than once, this boy saved my husband’s life. Full stories I still have yet to hear, and probably never will. My husband would write to me and had me send my sons’ clothes over to him as he had very little. My son’s clothes would fit him and I would send them regularly. We started sending cash to his large family, who was so regularly destitute, even though both of his parents were professionals. After many months, my husband said he wants to spon sor this young man, and have him come to America. I agreed. After hearing how this boy was so loyal to our country and to my husband, I trusted my husband’s faith in his interpretor. This boy, now a young man, 3 years after my husband was sent back to the States, 3 years after my husband taking 2 AM phone calls from him, 3 years of letters and phone calls to sponsor this young man, finally arrived to the United States. We waited for him to arrive for hours, going through the airport and customs, he finally emerged from the airport at 1 AM. Our whole family was waiting for him. We had rented a huge hotel room in NYC and we all hung and talked for hours. His parents had sent gifts to us and we all got to know each other. We took him around the city the next day and then we ventured home (we live about 2 hours upstate). Sayeed lived with us for 6 months. It was a very easy transition. He fit right in with the family and it was a natural fit. After 6 months, he and my son moved into a house together and they still live there now. It has been 5 years now. Sayeed wanted to join the Army and fight for his new country but unfortunately a stop was put on green card holders from joining the military. Sayeed is now co-managing my husband’s home improvement business and I consider him my 4th son. He is a valued member of our family and he is included in anything we all do as a family. We go on vacation, we all go. We visit my family in Florida and we all go. Our families on both sides, love Sayeed as one of their own as well. My step boys’ mother and her family (my husband’s ex) love Sayeed as well. He is always over there for dinners and their family get togethers. We are very lucky to have found him and he is a true member of our families. My husband recognized this young man for who he was. He knew he was a patriot at heart and needed to be living in the BTW My hubby turned me on to your show and we LOVE watching you....he makes your food for me and I'm a very lucky gal! He loves to grill outside, breakfasts, lunches and dinners! We recently lost our little Maltese after 16 1/2 years and her place was right next to him by the grill. They were joined at the hip. She was his cooking buddy, this grill would make him soooo happy. Keep up the awesome videos, you're sooo much fun to watch!

I would like to nominate my father, Christian, for the Evo giveaway. My dad is the most hardworking and caring person I've ever met. He's given my sister and I such amazing lives and we never go a day without commemorating all that he's done for us. My dad is a respectable guy who seems gruff but he's got a soft spot. He's always made my sister and I laugh, no matter what we're going through. He's an amazing parent and I've always been comfortable with having my dad around because he always seems to lighten up the mood. He's easygoing and affable and has always been an amazing man. He has a kind heart and helps others with their problems, he's selfless and he's the man I respect most in this world. He often comes home exhausted from work but still finds the strength to help me cook. When my mom and dad separated, he lost everything. That was about 10 months ago and my dad has worked extremely hard to rebuild his life and has done an amazing job. He's almost done with buying new furniture and plans to save money for the other things he lost. It's amazing seeing a man with such resolve bounce back from a hit as hard as divorce and come back stronger. He got into cooking to help me make meals for all of us and was inspired by you to keep cooking. We both love your videos and make your recipes quite a bit. My dad is an amazing man and I'm proud of him. He's my role model and I love him. Thank you.

My father, Bill Davis is a master of the BBQ, loves Sam the cooking guy, and is the most generous person I know. He loves giving intentional gifts to people who could use them, and he donates very thoughtfully to a bunch of different organizations. He is a huge fan of Sam, and would make some serious magic (for me to eat) on the STCG Evo. He also lives in SD, so you could really save on shipping. ;) Bill loves feeding his family and friends, and would do anything for them. He lost his wife (my mom) recently and Sam's videos have been cracking him up more than I've seen in a few years, and I'm so grateful for that! He is the ultimate dad and super deserves to win this Evo. (BONUS: Sam's face will really enjoy his genitals, and that's a Davis family GUARANTEE.)

I am nominating my husband Tim, who is a big fan, for this giveaway. He is an amazing dad to three kids, two of whom have special needs. He has done so much to be a great example to our kids as well as others. He has been a coach for recreational baseball and basketball, and through that he has been a father figure to young boys that needed a father figure to look up to and talk to. He has had amazing determination to do good for his family and others despite extreme heath and financial challenges. He suffered a massive pulmonary embolism several years ago and was saved by our 13 year old doing CPR, and since then has found a new love for finding passionate hobbies to share with others and enjoying life. I first found your channel through the munchies videos, and have been a frequent viewer ever since. Shortly thereafter I showed your videos to my family, and we quickly became addicted! Whether the videos are old or new we spend hours at a time watching you while we eat dinner together. My father, Peter Baquet, is a big fan of the wild choices you make, and adventures quite similarly in the kitchen. He’s a great father to not only my older brother and I, but also is a father figure and positive mentor to my friends who don’t have one of their own. He’s been cooking since he was very young, growing up in family restaurants and working in the restaurant business to this day. He cooks us amazingly innovative dishes that he seemingly pulls out of thin air without ever looking at a recipe, however our lack of hardware in the kitchen holds him back from making many things he would like to. My parents talk nonstop about how amazing it would be to have an EVO in our household. My dad’s favorite way to cook is to grill, but the one we currently have is pretty old and doesn’t work too well anymore. My mother, brother, and I want to get him a new grill for Father’s Day, and I think he’d be thrilled to have a one of a kind “Sam the Cooking Guy EVO” instead. I’m nominating my husband Andrew for the Evo grill! We’re both big foodies and he’s gotten verrrry into grilling, in no small part because of your videos (and is now a full-blown kewpie advocate). I already got him your knife and the crazy ironwood cutting board your recommended and every time you use the evo we talk about how one day we’re gonna have a dope outdoor kitchen complete with one of those babies. Now, about his actual baby. He became a dad during the most batshit time in our living history... 5 weeks ago. Between a pandemic, protests, political madness, and moving out of our house with a new baby to finish a construction project we halted, it’s been a crazy few months. To literally no ones surprise, he fell seamlessly into being a dad. He’s keeping Zora and I and two dogs happy, walked, watered and fed. When we talk about what we’re most excited to do with her in the future, cooking and eating is always at the top of the list. We don’t care if she likes sports but we really hope she likes garlic. It would be the perfect Father’s Day and welcome home and you’re doing a great freaking job gift.

I’m nominating my husband who is a rock-star dad!!! We added 6 children to our lives in 3.5 years! All of them are adopted out of foster care so all of them have a special amount of pure crap (or a real adult might say “scars, special needs, hurts that need a safe space to heal”.) Pete (my husband) totally clicks with Sam’s fatherly vibe and the blunt (crude?) nature of his relationship with his son. Because our kids have had to deal with a ton of stuff we are also very blunt, straight forward, matter-of-fact, and it’s nice to see another parent be that way. Pete keeps our family eating well because of these inspiring videos! Pete sacrifices for our family, like, quit a “real job” and started his own company so he would have more time with us!!! What? I really don’t know any one like him and I would never do this crazy life with anyone else! He is a Rock... that’s what his name means, and he is a star... shining brightly in some very hard circumstances. I’m sure all the dads think they deserve this special gift, but I know my man would use it well! (And I want to eat the food he makes on it!)

Hi Sam! I'd like to nominate my dad. He originally had a hard life in Vietnam and experienced many struggles. Eventually, after a few failed attempts, he made a long difficult journey to the U.S. He worked very hard to learn English, get a degree, and obtain a sustainable job. Now, because of his sacrifices, I am able to live a happy life with many more opportunities right here in San Diego! My father isn't as interested in cooking as I am, but I'd be very grateful if I could show him the beauty of the art of cooking with this amazing flat top. It would be an extraordinary gift that would certainly be fun for cooking burgers together for family bonding and inspiring a new love for cooking for our whole family. My dad is a simple guy, but he does love burgers, so I want to inspire him to love cooking by gifting him an Evo. Thank you Sam for showing me how great cooking can be. You've inspired me to tackle my new love of cooking and now I want to spread this love to others, like my dad.

I’ve had cancer twice and he never ran away from it. He stuck by our side to get us anything we needed. If I wanted ice cream he got it, Chick fil a he got it, a home cooked meal anything, he was there to fulfill our needs. He washed our clothes while we were in the hospital. Took care of our dogs. Stayed with me countless times. He taught me how to build fences, change car parts, and how to be a better man. The amount of things he has done for us is astounding. He replaced our floors all by himself, built decks by himself, ceilings you name it. He has never once complained or asked for something in return. Something like this I feel like he truly deserves because the grill he has now is rusted and nasty. It really would mean the world to him.

My dad is easily my best friend. We both love Penn State, we both joke together all the time, and we both LOVE food. The majority of things I’ve learned in the kitchen I’ve learned from him. He’s been recently getting back into the summer grill kick cooking meals every other day with a conglomeration of dishes from your channel. After every meal he asks, “How was dinner?” “Awesome dad.” “Guess who’s recipe?” “Who’s dad?” “Sam the cooking guy.” “Ok dad.” “Love you bro.” “Love you bro.” This conversation takes place almost every night. He’s been watching your channel for a while and even indulges in a video or two (or ten) as his post dinner routine. He’s been pining after a flattop grill forever. It’s probably his second biggest dream purchase right before new golf clubs and right after a firetruck. Yes a firetruck. Don’t ask. As I said before, my dad is easily my best friend. Going beyond food, through thick and thin, it’s him and me. I was adopted at birth, so I never met my biological father. But, to be completely honest, it was never something I felt I needed to do, because to me, the dad I have is the realest and best dad I could ever ask for. He had been telling me about this video and this grill for over a week, and it would mean so much to be able to give him his dream grill. I tell him all the time he’s a pretty awesome guy, so it would be amazing to give him something that would show him how much he means to me. And how awesome he really is. This would be the perfect gift for my dad. First, we have no room for a firetruck. Again, don’t ask. Second, My dad loves unique kitchen appliances so this would be a great addition to our back yard. Third, as previously stated, my dad and I LOVE food. I always see him at his happiest and most zen in the kitchen or at the grill. With all that being said, I wish to nominate my father, Jesse Getz, to receive the new STCG Custom Evo for Father’s Day. And dad, if you see this comment, I love you bro. My dad has a Facebook and his name is Jesse Getz, but you also might be able to find him if you look up Getz Mortgage, Inc. on Facebook. #samthecookingguy

Nominating the man I get a new grill grate for just about every other fathers day. He's had the same charcoal / wood burning grill for the last 10 years and its time for a change. I live in Florida and he is back in my home state of Texas. Miss the fam greatly, Planning a surprise trip for this fathers day and the Evo would make a great addition to my surprise. He's worked in the Hospitals in Houston for the latter part of his adulthood, times have been a lot tougher as of recently. Great father and a great man, deserves more than an EVO but it's quite the token of appreciation for what he's gone through and done for the family. Best cooking channel on KZbin. Just bought myself a fat means flavor shirt, keep up the great work!!

Sam, I have been thinking all week of what to say about my deserving dad. He is the dad who takes others under his wing, makes everyone in the room feel special, and he can cook a mean rare steak, with risotto and home made bread on the side. My dad’s passion for cooking began at a young age. He had two brothers, he was the middle, and they were raised by their mother. My dad took charge, and began to cook for the family when he was just a young kid. It was not just a hobby, it was his talent, pride and joy. He has worked in multiple restaurants in his “younger years,” but he just had his 50th Birthday this year and I would love for him to have something as amazing as the Evo. He works very hard each day, working to put my sister and I through college, and he deserves to feel special. Whenever a friend comes over, he whips up his best meal. He wants to make his guests feel at home, and they keep coming back so I know he has done his job. My dad works a normal job but I know his passion is cooking. My dad and I watch your channel on KZbin whenever you upload, laughing at your awkward pauses, funny sayings and cringy dad jokes, because my dad is similar to you. He wants to share his passion of cooking in a positive way. In his free time he looks up recipes, flips through cookbooks, and plans out his weekly meals. Every time he sees you cook on your Evo, his face lights up. He talks about how innovative it is, and I know he would put it to good use. Whether we are hosting friends, neighbors or family members, my dad puts his heart and soul into his meals. With the Evo, he would be able to feed more mouths, and create more smiles and memories with those around him. Thank you for reading my submission and for giving my family a laugh or two whenever we watch your videos. You are inspirational to us. Your chicken fries recipe we recently recreated, and it was BOMB!! Happy Fathers Day Sam The Cooking Guy!!

I nominate my dad. He turns 65 this year and we won't be able to throw him a big surprise bash so that we are complying with social distancing, but my siblings and I feel like he deserves something amazing. He's my hero and I feel like this grill will elevate the next chapter of his life and make life exciting for him!

I'm nominating my dad Alfonso. His family emigrated from Mexico forty years ago up to Ohio and he's been working hard ever since. My parents had me when they were young, and my dad took whatever job he could get, selling cars for a week, trying to sell vacuum cleaners door to door for a while, working at a glass factory, he did it all to support his family and provide for me and my brother in a quite poor city. He landed a job as a pipe fitter and after years of learning the trade and powering through months with only one or two days off, he was able to move out to a place with a yard and patio where he wanted to build an outdoor kitchen, like Sam's! But recently he and my mom have had setbacks with coronavirus, weeks without work, and a collapsed septic tank that tore through their savings. He's still been powering through with his grill and smoker, but a flat-top like this has been something he's wanted ever since he found your channel. If he could get this amazing equipment, it would mean the world to him, it would pick up his spirits so much and drive him to build that dream kitchen. From my perspective, he certainly has earned it. #samthecookingguy @AlfonsoZapata

I would like to nominate my husband. He works so hard for our family and for others. We have two teens and a newborn and he is amazing with each of our babies. He works for two companies that make ventilators for hospitals (Usually every day of the week). I see him tired every morning but he still has energy to workout with our son, help our daughter whenever she needs something and still spend time with our baby girl. He never gives up and he feels that he can do his part during this horrible pandemic by helping to provide much needed ventilators. I would love for him to have an evo because at the end of the day he wants nothing more than to be able to relax with his babies and just be able to spend quality time together. I love you my Sweet thing! Happy Father's day!

My father, Paul, is the most deserving of this prize. He taught me how to grill, but more importantly, he taught me how to be a man. I remember when we were standing in line at a fast-food restaurant when I was 8 and he made me order for the whole family. It may seem like a small, trivial act of communication now, but his push made me the man I am now, happy father's day Paul!

Hi Sam. Loving the show. I normally hate cooking shows but I can’t stop watching yours. I’d like to nominate my dad who is the reason I even know about this show. He’s a top Aussie bloke who loves to try new things so your show is something he watches all the time. My dad was my best friend growing up. Nobody believed in me more than him. He loves cooking, smoking, bbqing and this flat top is something he has been talking about for ages. Thanks Dad. I love you. Thanks Sam for all the laughs and the great recipes ❤️

I am nominating my dad, Larry Slater. He deserves every good thing the world has to offer. My mother was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer five years ago and that was the toughest time for my whole family. My dad was heartbroken and depressed, but that did not stop him from making sure my mom was comfortable 24/7 and that we all had many opportunities to make new and fun memories together. As her condition worsened, he took up new responsibilities to ensure that she wasn’t in too much pain. My dad always found new things that we all could do as a family and found many ways my mom could have fun even with her condition. We went to Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo, Knott’s Berry Farm, and many trips to New Mexico. At every one of those places my dad mapped out everything my mom could do, so my mom was always having fun. When my mom couldn’t walk he bought her a wheelchair and ramps, when she couldn’t sit up herself while in bed he bought her a hospital bed, and when she couldn’t get out of the house anymore he found many ways to keep her entertained. He was there by my mom’s side through every Doctors appointment, every chemo treatment, and every hospital stay. My mom ended up passing away on March 17th of this year. He still continued to take care of me and all of my siblings, he had to learn new things, and he had to work even harder even though he was grieving. He started to find happiness and a sense of belonging through cooking. He has been trying to find new things to cook and he has been experimenting with smoking. For years he has put everybody’s needs before his, so it’s time that something good is given to him. His facebook is under Larry Slater, that is where he posts all of his new cooking creations. His Facebook page is under the name Larry Slater and that is where he posts all of his new food creations. #samthecookingguy

I'm nominating my husband Eric. He has always loved to cook, but has really stepped it up during our home quarantine. With his non-profit business (Portraits for Patriots - which offers free professional headshots to our countries service members as they transition into the civilian work force) closed due to the pandemic, and me working non-stop to support our local hospitals as their nutrition supplier, he was our sole source chef. He often watches your videos for inspiration, the most recent one we tried was the California Burritos. I have explained to our kids how lucky they are to have a dad who is a great chef cooking up new and interesting meals every day during quarantine. We have eaten better during this time, then we usually do, because he had the time to dedicate to cooking. He's a huge fan of cooking on the flattop (even putting it on the grill). This would be the perfect addition.

I’d like to nominate my husband Alex. He works so hard day in and day out to give our boys everything they could ever need. He sacrifices holidays, weekends, birthdays to work 16+ hour days, sometimes even traveling out of the country when needed. Everything he does is to give our 2 sons the best life and never complains about having to work. He does it because we depend on him, and he loves us unconditionally. We absolutely love your channel and even traveled to San Diego go eat at Graze and NNT! It was such a pleasure meeting you. I know Alex would absolutely LOVE to win this Evo! It would be such an awesome addition to our backyard!

Hi Sam, Absolutely love your channel! The different types of food you make could fill many restaurants. I want to nominate my dad for the EVO contest. He has always given everything to us kids, even when he is in the middle of cooking/sleeping.....if there is an issues he says "I'll be right there", turns the burners off, jumps in his truck and helps us out first before he does anything for himself. He is currently battling lung cancer, and cooking is one thing he loves the most, and brings him great joy! He would really appreciate a gift like this. Keep up the great work! Max, you are a great son, and the relationship you have with your dad is nice to watch!!

I nominate my husband on behalf of my 10 year old daughter. Michael is suffering from PTSD following a roofing accident, on his time off you have literally kept him sane (sane ish) !! He snuggles up with my daughter watching your videos and we often catch our daughter swiping her dirty mouth across the kitchen roll!! Cooking has become his passion and he cooks many of your delicious dishes. Our fussy eating daughter now loves burger and may other foods she would ever try . Michael is the most hard working, loving father a daughter could want. In our daughters in own word "papa should win because he cooks much better than mama, I would like to give this to him to cheer him up as he has stressful days and cooking makes him happy" #samthecookingguy Evo who doesn't want red nobs!! @

I would like to nominate my dad, Darren. Over the winter my dad got really sick, and while he was resting he would watch your videos to find fun recipes to lighten the situation. One night he had to go to the hospital and before the ambulance picked him up, he made Chicken and Potatoes for us. Before he was bed ridden he taught me some recipes that I used when he couldn't get up. The second time he got picked up by the ambulance, he was at the hospital for 4 days, and still managed to provide for the family with jokes. Cooking really is his passion. Plus he watches your videos almost every day and plans meals based off of your videos. One of my favorites he experimented with was the Burbon BBQ chicken. Although sometimes days can be painful he still manages to make delicious foods for us. My dad always plans fun ways to spend time with us, especially in the outdoors. Overall my dad is a very hard working and deserving dad, he's taught me and my siblings so much and will forever be the BEST DAD EVER!!

Watches endless KZbin videos with his sons just to spend time with them and know what they are watching. Always makes us laugh! He’s a good man, father, and husband. He shows our boys how treat everyone with respect and kindness and never be afraid to stand up for what’s right. Finally, he’s a huge fan of your show and we always get to taste your latest recipes.

I would like to nominate my dad. He came to the states in the 80s with his parents and his siblings as refugees from Laos. They essentially came with nothing but the clothes on their back. He served in the Navy for 30 years and became the first Laotian-American to reach the rank of Master Chief. He's one of the most hard-working, resilient, and caring individuals I know and is truly an inspiration. I couldn't have asked for a better Dad.

Hey Sam and Max! I'd love to nominate my Stepdad, Dennis! We both love the show! When I was young he would watch me and I learned cooking and grilling by watching him. My Dad was sick at the time with Hepatitis and he stepped in to help raise me and make me who I am now. We love watching the show and learning how you do everything. We experiment with making foods and cheese's and beers and would love to use the evo to show him how much I appreciate him and everything he's done to help me grow in life. Father's Day has a deeper meaning now because of father's who never truly had to take the role, but did anyway. Happy Father's Day to everyone!

My dad, Marc, is a father not only to me and my brother but to our whole community as well. He is a masterful storyteller who uses the gift of his voice to bring humor and wisdom. Any dinner table he graces is full of laughter and deep thought He is practical and skilled with his hands, and uses this talent to serve friends. Whether he is fixing somebody's engine or fixing them a plate of wonderful homemade food, he goes out of his way to make everyone that walks through our doors feel welcome and loved. When my dad receives any gift, he immediately uses it to make the life of his family better. His preferred present isn't the fanciest watch or the newest car: he delights in things that he can use to make the lives of others better. If my dad were to receive this gift, it would be more than just a Father's day present. It would be more than just another cooking tool for our family. Because of who my dad is, it would be a way for him to love his family and love his friends in a practical, tasteful way. #samthecookingguy

Sam, my husband is the most deserving dad! He is a mensch (like you) and during this quarantine he has decided to learn how to cook! We have been married for 32 years and we have two kids. During that time I have been the family cook, but while working from home, my amazing husband and deserving dad, Kevin Katske, decided to take on the cooking duties. He likes to watch videos to learn new techniques and find interesting recipes to make, and your videos are by far his favorites! Please keep doing what you’re doing, because my husband is making delicious food for the family and making our lives much more enjoyable and delicious!!

Sam, I wanna start by saying happy early father’s day and a massive thank you, because before my dad discovered your videos we were eating the same overcooked chicken meals every single night but now we are trying and cooking something new all the time! -my stomach and tastebuds could not be more grateful for your channel! My father loves your recipes so much that on Sundays he throws a party for all his friends to just show them off! He makes them watch all your videos while he cooks! My father has found a new love for cooking because of you and I think a grill like this would only continue it to grow. I’m sure there are a lot of fathers who are deserving of this but I promise you no one would use this grill more than my father!! You see my father has his own podcast show here on youtube- it’s all about football but i keep telling him that a cooking segment could really help him get off his feet and help get his views up. I believe a grill like this is just what he needs! So not only would he use it to cook meals for the family and friends but also for his show- of course whatever he makes he would credit to you! He has been talking about one of these grills since he started watching your videos- we thought we could get him one for father’s day but unfortunately we could not afford one. Although we did get him something else from your website for the big day this grill would be the ultimate gift that I don’t think we could ever top! It would mean the world to my entire family if you were to choose my father @hangingwithhotrod as the winner of this grill! So please please please pick him!! #samthecookingguy Thanks for taking the time to read this, Paige

I would like to nominate my father. He has been a 911 call taker and emergency dispatcher for most of my life (29 years). He has selflessly missed holidays and family vacations for most of my life in order to not only provide for his family, but also to serve his community in an incredibly stressful job. Throughout the years, he has never once asked for anything, just continuing to give to family and strangers alike while everyone else gets to celebrate holidays like Father’s Day. He loves the show, and was the one who got me into watching you! I would love for him to receive such a wonderful surprise for a holiday that celebrates him.

I'd like to nominate my husband, Mark. He's a great husband and father. Mark's passion for cooking came from his grandmother and mother who were the type of cooks who could make a dinner out of anything in their kitchen. His grandmother gave him her mother's cast iron pan and he uses it often and crazy about taking care of it so I won't even touch it anymore! He loves making different foods and is not afraid to try different things. He has passed this love to his children who love to cook and experiment as well. When they get together, a good part of our discussions are the various foods everyone has been making and sharing of recipes. I personally love the meatball recipe you shared and we make them often. Mark loves watching all your videos and has totally gotten me hooked to the point that I get mad at him if he watches without me. I swear we have each put on 20 lbs while we've been sheltering at home and Mark's cooking. He truly would love, use and take care of the EVO. Thanks.

Hey Sam! Lovve the show. I am nominating my father, John David. My dad has been working non-stop since the pandemic began taking care of coronavirus patients in one of the busiest regions of Colorado. He hasn’t been able to see his kids for the better part of half a year in order to keep everyone safe. Whenever the family gets together, we celebrate by cooking together. The kids were planning on doing a gift for his patio this year (a massive paella dish), and an EVO would be such a perfect complement. He’d probably never buy an EVO himself because of the price, but I know how much he’d enjoy cooking on one. Plus, you know, I might be compelled to visit more often knowing the EVO is out back... so you’d be doing him a double favor.
