Inside Out 2 is a 2024 American animated coming-of-age film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. plot:
Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! For me, this is one of the most valuable videos you've done, and in a surprising way. I saw Inside Out 2 in the theater, and wrote it off as a disappointing attempt to live up to the first one, without enough good ideas to do the job. But you've both given me a new way to look at it and think about it, and that's what I'm now going to do. Thank you!

People like this make me question what is ok for me to like even if you’ve seen the movie in a new way that made it better the first time you’ve watched it. I can kinda understand why you would be disappointed at first and that’s the concerning part. There were definitely some good ideas but maybe some of the writing feels off, but then you have tons of people saying stuff like “anxiety was portrayed so well”.

I enjoyed it a lot. It suffers a bit from sharing a lot of ideas as the first one, but when you're talking about growing up, there's going to be overlaps. But I particularly enjoyed Anxiety realizing she's created a Riley who hates herself. It truly feels like the emotional core of this movie lies with Anxiety.

So with John Ratzenberger, there hasn't been any confirmation why he's not been in a lot of recent Pixar movies, but there is some speculation that he left because he disagreed with the decision to fire John Lasseter. In part because he's appeared in every movie from Skydance Animation, the animation studio headed by Lasseter.

The fact that anxiety is very controlling and self centered to not let other emotions have a say or second opinions for controlling riley, she only thinks what is good for riley. Anxiety is so controlling that she only use only pure anxiety memorys for the believe system not even the mix memory that even has anxiety mixed in. Causing a sense of self made from pure anxiety. Not even letting the other secondary emotions put there own memory in the belief system.

Just cause I like to massacre names in my head and nickname people, I think I'd call Ediz "Edzee". I think (on camera) Ediz represents Disgust more than the other emotions. A little pessimistic, opinionated, stylish (Love you). Ben just needs blue hair. 😁 My favorite emotion (character) is Sadness. I've always liked the gloomy/odd one in the bunch. Eeyore was a childhood fave. An OOOOOOOLD Comercial I always responded to was for the candy bar, Whatchamacallit. I haven't seen it advertised since the 90's, so...

My phone voice differes from my drive through voice, and my face to face customer service presentation as well. Lol. Yeah, I speculate my favor for Eeyore stems from my loud, flamboyant persona which masked my anxiety and depression. A lot, I know, for a child, but my parents were show people so trained me very early to give people what they preferred to see, rather than the truth. Now I work in Behavioral Health, so I'm much more Eeyore/Pooh. 😆

Definitely the best Disney Pixar has put out in a long time -- super creative!! It feels like a sequel that the writers really wanted to make, and that's how sequels should be! I enjoyed this one just as much as the first one :) I loved Nostalgia's cameo 😂 The only nitpicks I have is Ennui kinda felt unnecessary, and he didn't super make sense to me because every time Riley used that emotion, it was to put up a front, not because she was actually bored/didn't care. He didn't detract too much tho. My last nitpick is I think it should've left on a bit more of an ambiguous note. It seems like Riley did make the team, which I felt like stepped on the point of the movie a lil bit, but idk, since they left it open-ended, maybe they'll use that as an opportunity to be like, "well actually, she made JV, but she was still happy about that!" When she said that when you grow up, you feel less joy, that really hit me 🥹 i feel like I'm looking around sometimes and I'm like "when did it become hard to be optimistic?" And i genuinely try to nail down when the switch happened, but i can't, so I'm not sure how to switch back, but maybe that's the point, just gotta keep chugging forward :) ❤ Great reaction! 👏

Honestly, I feel like nostalgia is sometimes driving my console far too much hahaha. I agree with the ending. They kinda left it ambiguous.... But also they didn't 😂 And losing Joy is actually so sad and so common so I relate with you on that. I'm currently trying to unpack it in my own life and the reality is that it happens so gradually you often don't even notice. I'm actively trying not to listen to the negative thoughts on my head as much and try to think of positives- the brain is so powerful!! Pleased you enjoyed this movie and as always, thanks for the comments! ✌️☺️

why do the mind-workers don't show any respect or sympathy to the emotions out of headquarters. The emotions literally controls what Riley likes and doesn't like to put in the mind to create and add to the world like imagination land. How ennui with a literal button push created the sarcasm. Emotions has the powers to create and add to the long term memory on the control panel all powerful at headquarters. The emotions should at least be treated like a important person because they are. Inside out 1. When joy asked them for help they don't care and send the gum commercial to headquarters because they can and don't send the core memory up there for the personality islands. Police mind-workers lock joy and sadness in the subconscious with Riley's fears without a single though. Inside out 2. Drop into headquarters for the puberty update but don't care about the emotions will being and there belongings. Listen to anxiety to put the original emotions in the vault without a care calling the old emotions nothing but secrets to hide. Next they don't help the original emotions without a care to getting to the back of the mind. How come the mind-workers should no help in the old emotions but willing to help anxiety. Show no concerns when a emotion is not in headquarters.
