To give the line some credit, it makes a lot more sense when you read "They died when I was three, remember?" as being a reminder that Hiro was three when it happened rather than a reminder that their parents are dead. When clouded by nostalgia and emotion, it's probably easy for Tadashi to forget that Hiro wasn't old enough to have positive memories of their parents (pre-mortem) like he did. Logically, he knows that Hiro is 13 and they've been in their aunt's care for 10 years, but logic doesn't always take precedent when there's strong emotions involved.

This movie means everything to me. I lost my mom when I was 11 and only a few months later this movie came out. Never ever had I dealth with loss before and I felt so confused and alone. But then I saw myself in Hiro and things started kinda making sense. I was able to follow along with his healing journey and it showed me how to (and also not to) deal with grief. This will forever be one of my all time favourite movies ever.

One of my favorite scenes from Arrow is when a character finds out the Green Arrow's secret identity and she just says "Thank you" and forgives him for everything he's missed while superheroing because he was "Saving someone's life". Deathstrike was a villain in the original Big Hero 6 comics, but everyone remembers his more famous sister, Lady Deathstrike since she is a recurring Wolverine villain and appeared in X-Men 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine. Momakase's claws are a reference to that.

If i remember correctly about season 3, the plan was to have Hiro rescue the old Baymax Bot and have 2 Baymaxes like in Kingdom Hearts, but ultimately the show got canceled and went through drastic buggets chops for season 3.
