Man, I cringe when I think about how I used to rely on ISO 100. When shooting flambient, it took me a while to realize that the ambient light you get complimenting the flash exposure was the whole reason why you and others teach to be using a slightly higher ISO. When shooting brackets - where I live in the dreary Pacific Northwest - it hit me that the extra time the shutter was open on the long exposures was costing me *minutes* of time on every shoot. All for a negligible difference in dynamic range when editing. Boy oh boy..

Love this! Thank you for always being so informative. I am curious about which cameras are ISO invariant. I still shoot on a D600 and I do find that at certain high ISOs in certain situations I find it adds some grain. I know you shot on a D610 for a long time and I would love to know more about how that camera works at different ISO settings especially when shooting interiors.

What about cameras that have a native ISO? I shoot on a Panasonic Lumix S5IIX and the low native ISO is 640, the high being 3200.

That's dual ISO. The S5IIX has a standard ISO range from 100-51200. But neither of those really matter. Most new cameras have dual ISO, they just don't provide the options that the S5IIX does. The same issues apply, no matter the camera, to what I mentioned in the video. You can do testing like I show in the video to see the results on your camera.

I was wondering your thoughts on the cannon rp . I am looking just to use it from time to time to take residential real estate to post online only. This wont be a full time thing for me but would like it to look better then a 14 pro max or maybe I should stick to my phone not sure This camera fits my budget I'm open to other options. Thanks for you input
