The Best K-Cup Coffee I Ever Had Was Made With The K-Latté Machine

No matter what machine you use to brew k-cup coffee and no matter what brand or variety of k-cup you use the favor will be limited by the age of the pre-ground coffee inside the cup and by the amount of grind in the k-cup.
Having experimented with tons of different k-cups and nearly every Keurig machine made since 2018 I have figured out how to get the best flavor possible from a Keurig and it involves using the inexpensive K-Latté that I picked up from Walmart.

Wow; that’s amazing. It didn’t even think of that when I seen this coffee maker. I quickly dismissed, thinking I would have no use for it; then bought the K-Supreme Plus, which just arrived today. Haven’t even set it up yet. I wish I seen this video before I bought it; oh well. You make some great videos.

Brian, Your 3-brew example for the best K-Cup Coffee you have tasted is intriguing. I searched for a Keurig machine at a more budget price which has the Shot Button, and I found the Keurig Model 5000365473, K-Café Essentials which seems to currently be a Walmart only unit at well under $100. It also has the Strong Brew button for 8, 10, or 12 oz cup sizes. Has the altitude adjustment, but no temp control options. Also accommodates up to 7.25" mugs with the drip tray removed, and has the frother. Pretty impressive. It would be nice to have temperature control, other than the 5 degree drop when the altitude setting is turned on, but that means a much higher priced Keurig for adjustable temperature settings. I'm wondering what default water temperature it is likely using. Probably not the 200 degrees F required by the SPECIALTY COFFEE ASSOCIATION of America, but more likely, at best, 192 degrees which is close. Do you have any idea on what temperature most Keurig machines use for brewing?

I really loved the coffee in the K-575, I also loved how it had bigger filters(you can buy on Amazon) and using a paper filter make a huge 18 oz cup of super strong coffee.. but my machine is getting old so I got the new K-Supreme Plus and so far I am not enjoying it as much, because of initial cold water that comes out and the My K-Cup shoots water into the cup, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong but from videos I've saw I'm not, and I used the My K-Cup before with the K-575 and it never had this problem

Thanks for the video. Have you ever done a video to compare Keurig vs. Nespresso. I guess you can get a machine from Walmart that does both for $99. Instapot makes it. I’m curious about that machine.

Hey Brian - have you used any of the new mesh cups with Keurig’s new 5 point brewers? Did it work for you, or did it make a mess as some of your viewers have experienced? I am interested in getting a 5 point brewer, but I would like to be able to use it with the new mesh bottomed pods. Would really like to get your take on this!

Can you go in to how you store your beans pre-grinding them. I have heard different ways of storage to keep them fresh.

I’ve had this machine for a few years and it still works great. I have to say though, the temp of the frother is not very good. I now use my cuisinart electric steamer and frother instead...it’s about 20 degrees hotter than the Keurig. Also I don’t like that the frother wont turn on while the machine is heating the water, or the water won’t heat up again until the frother is finished...this bothers me as I’m trying to get the two shots in my cup at around the same time the frother is done. I make lattes, so I make 2 shots of coffee and the rest steamed/frothed oat milk. If Keurig could make a better frother it would be perfect!

Thanks for this nice video. I have a K-cafe and I am using filter water with it but still not getting satisfactory coffee test that I had for the first time. Cleaned it up with vinegar once but still no joy. Any suggestions?
