Protip for FlavCity going forward: Anything nonstick, including sprays and parchment, will keep non-gluten breads from rising as much as they could. So don't grease the sides. Just put parchment on the bottom. Let the pan cool and use a sharp, thin knife to detach it from the sides, and it will get at least 2 more inches of rise.

Terrific bread. I have used walnuts and pecans instead of macadamia nuts, they they are so expensive. Turned out great with both types of nuts. For the coconut butter, I just grind up coconut flakes in a food processor till they turn to butter consistency.

Thanks for this recipe guys! For those of you who are worried about the cost or the availability of some ingredients in this recipe...I never use macadamia nuts. I use peanut butter. And I use a little bit of water instead of the coconut butter (you can also try with melted butter, I haven't yet) and also a small amount of ground toasted flaxseed flour which I grind in a coffee maker. It works out perfectly. Please guys, try out different ingredients and see what works for you instead of asking if it works. You might create something phenomenal. And I use the same recipe for pancakes. Peanut butter, water, eggs, flaxseed flour (toasted. I hate it raw), baking powder, salt, vanilla. Happy baking!

Macros for a loaf of fat bread: 2830 calories 25 grams of net carbs(66 total carbs) 261 grams of fat 40 grams of fiber 54 grams of protein One loaf makes about 14 slices, macros per slice: 202 calories 1.79 grams of net carbs(4.71 total carbs) 18.6 grams of fat 2.86 grams of fiber 3.86 grams of protein Here are some questions that are going through your mind right now about how to make keto bread. #1 You have to use macadamia nuts for this recipe, their high fat content makes the batter silky and smooth. You can try to do it with peeled almonds, but I am not sure it’s going to work. #2 If you don’t have coconut butter you can use almond butter, but the texture on the bread is best with coconut. So if you are allergic to coconuts, use almond butter and almonds to make the bread. #3 Where do I buy everything bagel seasoning. You can buy a Trader Joe’s or use the Amazon link I have below, the flavors of the onion, garlic, and salt together is magical. GET THE KITCHEN GEAR I USE: bread tin: amzn.to/2N9Oor6 kitchenaid food processor: amzn.to/2lSA4HV coconut butter: amzn.to/2KU70ik everything bagel seasoning: amzn.to/2KQGnLg the rest of my gear: www.amazon.com/shop/flavcity

The most 'like bread' keto bread (without so many eggs and having an 'eggy' taste) I've found is made with almond flour and pysllium husk powder. I make it for my burger buns. 5 tbsp psyllium husk powder, 1 1/2 cups of almond flour, three egg whites, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar and 1 tsp sea salt. Add 3/4 boiling water to the dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix it together and bake at 400F for an hour. It makes about 3 medium sized buns. I might double the ingredients and bake it in a bread pan next time, see how it toasts.

I just made it tonight and followed their cookbook recipe exactly, adding BOTH baking soda & baking powder and it still didn’t rise much at all. I saw another comment (from ApplachiaMarv) who recommends not using parchment paper or oils on the sides of the pan for non-gluten breads in order to get more rise... will try that next time. Also may try adding a bit of active instant yeast and psyllium husk for more rise & fluffiness. But I think overall it tastes good. I made this bread in Dec 2019 - my first time. It was, like others said, EXPENSIVE with the Macadamias and Coconut butter - which would be ok if it was REALLY good. The texture was wonderful, size was nice, but the taste wasn't what I was expecting. Guess it is the macadamias. I like macadamia cookies, so I thought it would be good as a bread. But, there is a little "off" taste that needs jelly to hide the taste - but no keto jelly in my house so I used a little keto homemade cranberry sauce. I will freeze it and use it when I want a grilled cheese - but won't be making it again. Dessi - try this again with a different nut! PS I watched the movie, the magic pill, very interesting. Thanks for trying to find things we can use on our Keto journey!

Hi you two I would like to know if you use the coconut butter does the bread have a coconut flavor??
@mariavlahopoulos99986 жыл бұрын
I made it with almond flour,and ground flax seed meal,and eggs,no extra fat,apple vinegar ,B.soda,turned into a very nice bread ,if you call it bread,I make toast is very crunchy,l can’t stop eating it,next time I’ll use some sesame paste instead coconut butter !!!!!!!

Protip: this bread turns out the same way with coconut flour. I do this for a variety of recipes and remain in deep Ketosis and continue to lose weight. You can even do this in the microwave. Did it last night with vanilla and a couple blueberries and cinnamon and stevia sweetener.

@@bethshebaovercame9580 If I told you that you have to run 5 km everyday to please the fitness gods and theyll bless you with weight loss, you'll start thinking appeasing these fictitious gods made you lose weight. Visualize 500 calories of pasta and then visualize 500 calories of fats and protein and tell me which is more satiating. At the end of the day it's simple thermodynamics.

Is it egg-y at all? That’s been my struggle with all the keto baked goods I’ve tried since going keto. I can’t take the egg-y taste and texture I’ve been getting from all my other ailed recipes lol

The way he told her “obviously” was so rude, more rude than when he snatched the napkin from her
@markbrewster67885 жыл бұрын
The "obviously" comment was dry humour irony - because they almost always use lemon zest in their recipes; secondly, while he could have waited a second longer, I think he was just hyper aware and focussed on keeping the shot/framing less visually cluttered. For the record, I think he has some weird quirks, but I put up with those cringe moments because they, as a team - do a great job, very polished.

You guys, if this bread actually comes out for me, you have a new subscriber. I was happy to limit my bread intake instead of settling for garbage that looks good but tastes bad and falls apart. AND you use macadamia which will not give me headaches and gut issues. Bless you.

I don't know how many international viewers you have, but the metric measurements of ingredients on your website would be helpful. I have not got the slightest clue what a cup is.

you can google it to convert the measurements....

There are many online tools that are easy to use. 1 cup of nuts is 125 grams.
@CmdrX36 жыл бұрын
This is the problem, 1 cup of flour is a different weight than 1 cup of nuts and even a different weight to 1 cup of Castor sugar, a cup of liquid is not a weight, whereas 125g is 125g regardless of what you are weighing. Although it was more the coconut butter I was looking for than the nuts, which I just used hazelnuts to get a weight (135g) yet pecan nuts a cup is converted to 115g. I just converted butter weight which came to 225g. I know this all probably is second nature for Americans, but to me it just seems so inconsistent. Anyhow I did the recipe, and turned out pretty well, didn't rise quite as much as yours, but that's probably down to the slight different weights... tasted great though. One other thing, I used creamed coconut as anywhere I looked said it was the same thing.

A cup is approximately 237 ML. All it took was a quick Google search.
