If you want to get rid of the eggy taste while using whole egg in your keto bread, just add in a half-a-teaspoon (more-or-less) of vinegar, and it will make you happy.

I made the recipe from Keto Focus tonight. What a game changer! I used my large measuring cup for a pan, so the bread ended up round like a biscuit, but it still cooked up fine, just took a few seconds longer. I toasted it and then melted cheddar cheese on top and ate it like an open faced grilled cheese. Simply delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I know I will make it often.

I use the egg. Butter. Salt and almond flour recipe. If I want a bun, I use two glass dishes and divide the “dough” between the two. If I want a slice of bread, I use a 6” square glass dish. I have not tried these recipes because I’m happy with the one I’m making. As always, love that you do all this testing and tasting for the Keto community.

You can give them any flavour or combination of flavours: Salt, pepper, chilli flakes, Italian herbs, grated cheese, chopped dried tomatoes, chopped olives, garlic powder - whatever's available. You don't need to toast them either. My basic recipe is 3 tbsp almond flour or 1 tbsp coconut flour, 1 tbsp melted butter, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, one egg and 2tsp psyllium husk. I use a small round ramekin and cut it into two slices of bread.
@mattlevault51402 жыл бұрын
I made a lot of 90 second keto bread early in my journey. I was still a breakfast eater and liked the "toast". My recipe was closer to the chaffle recipe using mostly almond flour and low moisture shredded cheese(s), whole egg, butter, baking powder, and seasoning (either sweet or savory). Nuked in a 4 inch bowl it gave me enough bread for 4 round slices. It also made pretty decent croutons. Since I've discovered chaffles (thank YOU very much) I've moved on from the 90s bread. Although I'm starting to plan for a very-keto Thanksgiving dinner and the 90s bread might make it in to my stuffing. BTW - Quick parchment paper hack - if you want your paper to fit into any shape container just wad it up tightly then 'un-wad' it and it will lay in nicely. Especially nice for round dishes/pans.

I tried some 90 second bread and would never grade it as anything better than "edible". However, I did adapt my own version of a double-sized chocolate mug cake based on the 90 sec bread. 3 tbsp melted butter, 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder, 1.5 tbsp coconut flour, 2 eggs, baking powder*, sweetener to taste. Cook time was about 2:00. A fancy version could be made by adding chocolate chips into it.

How much baking powder?
@craigslitzer48572 жыл бұрын
@@jeweliedee4299 1 teaspoon? It's been a while since I made it, but I think it's 1 tsp. Start there and fudge it up or down for how you would prefer it. I couldn't remember last night, that's why I left it blank. Sorry bout that.
@HopeWins777 Жыл бұрын
@@jeweliedee4299 2 of the posted recipes used a half teaspoon baking powder for 3 tbsp of flour and the last recipe used one teaspoon baking powder for 4 tablespoons of almond flour ...but it might be because of the almond flour who knows. Adding psyllium husk, oat fiber, or protein powder (or whatever) changes things. The consensus is between a half tsp and 1 teaspoon of baking powder, it seems.

Couldn't wait to get home and try these out. Went with the Gimme Delicious recipe for some burgers I made. I’m not going to try the psyllium husk either, as it gave me severe GI distress when I tried it in the past as an Irritable Bowel Syndrome remedy. I know lots of people use it without problems, but my doctor always warned me to mix it with a cup of water or so or it could cause a bowel obstruction. So I hope that people are having beverages when they eat the psyllium bread. Another issue is that ConsumerLab testing has shown high lead levels in many psyllium products. 😳

I love 90 second keto bread and continue to experiment with various ingredients. I’ve not tried protein powder versions, yet, but that’s on the list. 👍 I like to use my 4-cup measuring cup. It makes for a much thicker, round chunk of bread that I cut into two slices. I guess I don’t really care about my bread being square. And I like the thicker slices. Usually, I griddle the slices in butter for extra yummyness. Side note (see what I did there) about sideburns: I had the same trouble with fluffy sideburns that would stick out every which way. One time when I was getting my haircut, the stylist gave me actual sideburns. I was kind of shocked, but they turned out great! They are cut at an angle, mildly Spock-like. Very sleek and tidy. I keep them trimmed myself. 🖖😘

As "gluten free, low carb", I've been making 90 second muffins several times per week for the past few months. I do basic, "non wheat flours", 1 T of oil, 1/2 t. baking powder and one whole egg. I've done things, like Flax meal (4 Tb) with Caraway seeds or Coconut flour (1T) with non sucrose sweetener and blueberries or Almond flour with sweetener, cinnamon and raisins, etc. If I want a hearty burger bun I use 2 T flax meal and 1.5 T almond flour. The possibilities are endless, depending upon what bread product that I want to pretend that I can eat. BTY, I use a 2 cup round pyrex bowl which is perfect as a sandwich mold, as it is about 4 inches across, deep enough for the dough to rise and with the straight sides, top and bottom of the bun are equal in size.

Hey Keto Twins, I'm a new viewer of your channel and have been binge watching your videos all week. I found an ice cream recipe that I thought you two might be interesting in making. I've made it multiple times now and it is the closest to "real" ice cream that I've had, both in taste and texture. The best part is that for the WHOLE PINT it is only 2 net carbs! Its not the jar ice cream either, that one is just basically frozen whipped cream. Let me know if you want the recipe, It'd be really cool if you can try it on your channel. I've been pretty obsessed about it since first trying it.

@@ketotwins Sweet! So the exact recipe I use is a modified version of KetogenicWoman's Egg Fast Ice Cream. She uses butter in her recipe, but I found that using heavy cream instead gives it a milkier taste like ice cream. This is the modified version I use... 4 whole eggs ¼ cup of heavy cream ¼ cup of keto sugar( I use a monk fruit blend) ⅛ tsp of salt 1 tsp of vanilla Mix all ingredients until well combined. Add water until the whole mixture adds up to 16oz(pint). Put in an ice cube tray and freeze. Once frozen either use a Yonana maker to blend or use a blender or use an ice cream machine. Ice-cream is then ready to eat or freeze. (Whole pint is 498 calories and 2 net carbs). The heavy cream I use says 0 carbs, although it probably has some, it's not enough to change much. I've only tried this recipe with the yonana maker so I'm not sure how it will hold up with the other methods, but I'm sure it will come out just as great. So the eggs are raw, which I was a bit sketched by, but once I tasted it it didn't bother me any more. You could probably also cook it like a custard to be extra safe, but that just takes more work, over all this recipe is very easy.

If you are talking about Extraordinary Bites, I agree it is very good. They also now have NY style bagels which are good too.

Who ever said your precious pup is scary should be deleted permanently from your channel. The nerve of some people. That person probably scares the crap out of themselves every time they look in the mirror 😁. Oh and loved the bread demo
