In my utmost humble opinion. “ Nothing more rewarding than getting ones thesis validated by those who exceeds oneself in excellence” As well as reminds me of the proverb: “ Belts can amount to nothing, skill is equatable to something, but intent and the will to act upon said skill is akin to everything” As there are truly levels to this game, as it is easy to generalize and over/ under estimate someone due to their belt rank( Or lack thereof) “ Oh he is only a blue belt” But his overall expertise as an Martial Artist and wrestler/grappler, is akin to someone who would definitely provide an formidable challenge upon anyone whom mistakenly were negligent enough to dismiss said aforementioned factors. “ True skill never lies” as they are apparent and observable in their purest essence, never veiled nor hidden. I prefer a split base arm drag vs going to the outside. Also to be sneaky establish your arm drag as your weapon of choice then feint an arm drag by tapping the wrist when your opponent reacts shoot thw double - if youare using the split base arm drag its an easy transition. When your opoonent sprawls hit the arm drag again. I would also reach in on arm drags without wrist control or from the collar tie.

Blue belts should be literally just handed to wrestlers as they in the door for their first day, and a few weeks to a month later should be handed a purple belt, and then they can begin the real journey. Up to purple there's rarely competition for wrestlers especially real wrestlers not your random wrestled in high school and never won a state title, but real wrestlers. If not for the technical nuances I'd say brown belt, but since purple is probably the most important time period for learning the physical aspects of the techniques I'd stick with purple belt being a great starting point.
