I am slowly getting my wife into watches. Thank you for this as there is basically the top three roles Cartier tank and no nomos, or ads for fashion watches. Please keep these going. I started her off with a timex then the phoebus sea nymph and now the pinky from long Island watches. Maybe a non round face as I've not seen any really good reviews on these.

Hi gazi! Thanks for your kind words! I am a big fan of the datejust. It's a timeless classic that looks great for most occasions and is incredibly well built. It's also got the Rolex name recognition, if that is important for you. The only negatives I have on it (just my opinion here) are that it is rather pricey compared with other quality alternatives such as the omegas and cartiers I talked about in the video that have equally impressive built quality, history, and name recognition. Also, I like to go with watches that are a little bit different or unique and while a datejust is certainly an expensive and quality item, it is a somewhat common choice for a luxury timepiece.
