I purchased an AC Hydraulics floor jack several years ago and it’s a good solution for lowered vehicles. I have a BMW E46 M3 with a coil over suspension that’s set low for improved handling and this jack works great. Very easy to adjust up or down in small increments. The rubber insert on the wheels keeps the jack very stable and it does not creep once it’s set in place. High quality construction so I don’t have to worry when I’m working on my car.

Yup - love my Harbor Freight Daytona - built like a tank and less than half the price of this one (only 40% of the price). This might be "higher quality", but for what most people use a jack for, this seems way overkill. BTW - you should never work on a car that is left only on a jack (ANY jack) anyhow - you need to use jack stands. I use RennStands with my jack - works great and adjustable height (Daytona jack with 2 RennStands is still almost $100 cheaper than this jack alone).

YES! we just ordered another one for our shop. I just did a video review of the new Daytona Billet Jack from Harbor Freight if you check the channel the video was posted a few days ago. it worked well to lift my Ferrari but I tried to lift my new BMW M3 and the jack almost slipped out and broke. Very unsafe unless it is a lightweight vehicle. We are sending the jack back tomorrow and replacing it with a AC Hydraulic DK20 which is a bit shorter than the ones shown in this video. You get what you pay for and safety has no price.

Hi, looking at the DK20Q, you mentioned the steep angle. looking at the specs it says Minimum Height: 3.15"; Max Height: 19.5" and the front width is about 10.7 inches. just wondering why would it not work. I am thinking of getting it to work with the Rennstand. your input is appreciated.. thanks

the 13 shown here is good for ultra low profile cars I also have the DK20 and love it and use it the most now in my home shop. if you cant get it under your car drive on some 2X4 pieces like I do but the 2 ton works way faster and easier to life full vehicles to use jack stands.

The jack you have listed DK-13HLQ is rated for 1.3 tonnes roughly 2800 lbs. My F80 M3 weighs 36-3700 lbs similar to your Alfa QV ... would the DK-20HLQ be the better choice? Hi the ones i show in this video are the only ones that can slide under all my cars the DK20 can not due to the steeper arm angle design. the DK13 has no issues lifting any of my cars with ease I just lifted our Alfa Stelvio on all 4s with these two jacks
@ajchien
@ajchien 3 жыл бұрын
Your 3700 lb M3 has roughly a 52/48 weight distribution, which means it only weighs 1924 lbs-ish in the front. If you want to lift both front wheels up at the same time, you are still well within the 2800 lbs capacity of the jack.

We actually used these for a little while but replacement parts is annoying. I actually have the same jack stands and the Rennstands (Safe Jack) which both work well with the Harbor Freight Daytona Low Extended ones. For the DIY guys its a cheaper option that's durable. The wheels can also be replaced with ones line yours, but I actually have twin ring ones on mine. I can get a Viper ACR, lowered S2000 (track car), and a Ferrari 360 all in the air easily with both this and the Harbor Freight Daytona Low Extended. I did leave a Toyota Land Cruiser on the jack for 18 hours straight to "torture test" both and they both passed fine.

the only jack that i ever had that worked on all of my lowered sports cars was this horrible low profile gray HF Pittsburg unit that would jam, slam down and cause issues safety issues. I was so happy to give it away to my neighbor and the other one to one of my workers. I originally wanted to buy a Lincoln jack and those are priced the same or even higher than these but by their designs none will work on lowered cars i own and work on regularly. I have tried them all and really like these AC units. The one from Demark that i did not show in this video was by ESSCO COMPAQ i personally liked the design better but it was not low enough to reach under my cars jacking points so I sold it to a customer. Look those jacks up there also amazing. My friend has the $300 Daytona and it can not get under any of my cars or work with the Jack Point Stands, he has to roll the car on wood to raise it up to use the Jack Stands which was annoying.
@DirtDude117
@DirtDude117 3 жыл бұрын
@@autofanaticcars The low profile HF ones have a lot of issues, and the Yellow Daytona that Snap-On sued them for is good but as you said it has clearance issues. Their Long Reach/Extended + Low Profile seems to be the best of their options. We use them at our shop a lot due to our customer base. Primarily German cars with some modified tuner toys. The floor jacks in this video were simple to use especially for cars that needed to be lifted to get on our lift which is just about 60% of our customers vehicles. I guess I'm not quite the demographic for this type of thing but I do appreciate you trying/testing these products and showing us what works great for you.

@@riology2234 I agree. With very light cars it is probably OK. But even a V-6 everyday car, let alone a V8, I would be leery of it. I have also read in other forums where the person made sure to bleed it out and still had a hard time pumping it with his family car. The issue with the 2 ton DK20HLQ version of this is as Auto Fanatic says, the rise starts quickly and would not fit under very low profile cars. But for other cars, SUV's, trucks and vans, I might buy the 2 ton HLQ version. I do not have a sports car.
