The Best Mushroom Bacon!

Hey everyone, this recipe was made for people who, for one reason or the other, can't eat bacon. If you want your bacon replacement a little less crispier, just reduce the cooking time. If you want your "bacon" strip longer, use the Y peeler to peel the mushroom from the neck to the bottom. Enjoy.

The texture is not for me, but we'll see. Maybe soon. I love using them for medicinal purposes though. Derek from Wicked Kitchen makes the best Lion's Mane recipes. Such a great guy. Check him out. He's the mushroom Don.

Love the idea for the Y-Peeler extra thin slices. I prefer baking in the oven, and I spray-misted mine with a mix of balsamic vinegar and Bragg Liquid Aminos. Seems to give the almost caramelized flavor that comes with frying. BUT I have to be on a very low saturated fat diet so would probably go with just frying if I could.

Not for alkaline due to the chemicals. It crossed my minds and I checked the back of a label at the store. It's a nope... unless you find a 2 ingredient version: smoke and water. No flavors
