Are you having lessons at the moment? What are you working on? 🏌♂

moving ball position further forward, as my path moved from out/in to in/out in earlier lessons ball crept back in stance and I got steep.

I'm personally working on a similar issue. I was getting narrow at the top trying to make a full turn. I ended up having a bit of an arm wrestling move coming down from the top. I have found great success by holding a ball between my arms on the backswing. I maintain my width and get a proper shoulder turn. With the ball between your arms you can't get narrow and still hold the ball. You have to maintain the width in order to hold. I would highly suggest you give it a go. Game changer for myself.

What a great lesson and the sound of your strike was amazing. Really helpful for me as it is exactly what I am trying to work on and having this video now gives me a go to reference. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work.

As always yes just put in the practice and stick with it. If you make a change. Restarts the practice point. Secrets in the dirt. Beat balls you'll get there Rob. Love watching the journey over the years. We should have a real conversation i think i could help. I have my teaching card in america

He’s got a good eye for what you’re doing. People should give this pro a shout if they live nearby 👍

Great video Rob. Were you getting more club head speed at the end of the lesson?

Enjoying watching your journey Rob! I'm on an age-related quest myself, attempting to play at a better level at the age of 60 than I did as a teenager (when I played off 2). Two big issues for me in my long game: rushing the start of the downswing and getting the clubface open coming down and flippy hands to square things up at impact. In fact my pro told me to 'shut uppa your face' (a reference to Joe Dolce and his 80s hit!).

I'm currently taking lessons and my instructor is teaching me the exact same things as on this video (the feeling of keeping arms away from the body and getting hands higher on backswing), and I have to say it's a massive change and difficult to get head around. I have to agree with what you're continuously saying through the video, the swing does feel a lot shorter. During my lessons I'm flushing the ball, but when I go to the range on my own I struggle to strike the ball well with longer irons and feel I'm early extending quite alot.

Just wondering what club you are hitting there, Rob? Really interesting video, thank you for posting

Just trying to knock of 4 months of rust atm. The weather has been so bad in Denmark. So have been going to the gym 3 times a week instead At 3.2 ( doubt i can play to it atm, because of the long break ) and want to get down to 1-2 this year I think its possible. Putter is good, shortgame is good. Driver is a bit loose and irons are good. Its mostly a battle between the ears for me

What's effecting the difference in carry, your effort (speed) or strike? The pro is doing a good job of keeping it simple, need to remember the first lesson regarding keeping the face shut more on backswing 👍

From a golf coach perspective usually if you haven't got down to scr within 4 years of playing then it won't happen.
