The Best of Bill Belichick

Where the haters at now? This offseason was full of memes and critics of Bill Belichick after Tom Brady won a Super Bowl his first year away from New England while Bill's Patriots finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs. I read things that said things like "This proves Brady is responsible for Belichick's success in New England." Give me a freaking break. Not to take away from Brady, but he joined a stacked Bucs team while Bill was left with a team that had no money to spend in Free Agency and that also had several key players opt out of the season due to Covid.
But how quickly things can change in less than a year. Now Bill's Patriots sit atop the division fresh off a victory vs. Division Rival Buffalo and if the playoffs started today, they would be the 1 seed representing the AFC. It still amazes me some people refuse to give this guy credit. Not only is he the greatest NFL coach ever in my opinion but possibly the greatest coach in sports history to date. I guess it has something to do with his demeanor during interviews, a lot of which can be seen throughout this video.
But isn't part of the job responsibilities of a head coach of professional sports team is to filter out all the crap from the media that can cause issues within that team's locker room. Belichick simply doesn't play the game of entertaining the media which might make a lot of people angry but the proof is in the pudding. This guy wins.

(link to video) went viral with close to 400,000 views currently, it felt time to give the NFL's Sith Lord some more attention with a new video featuring death stares, short answers, and comments like "Everyone loves sandwiches." It will be interesting how the Patriots finish the season but it is hard to imagine them fading down the stretch with a head coach like Bill Belichick. #BillBelichick #NewEnglandPatriots #Belichick

Another fun fact about Belichick that not a lot of people are aware of: his all time record against Tom Coughlin in the playoffs is 2-2 (beat him as Parcells assistant with the Pats and Jets). I actually wonder how many fans today even know about Coughlin's history of upsets - first taking a National Championship away from Notre Dame when he was at Boston College and a few years later beating the mini-dynasty Broncos with the upstart Jags (only to get outscored by the Pats defense in the AFCCG the next week).
