I've been there and couldn't deal with stress, so a friend of my father who's a top chef teached me how to deal with stress and since then I've been calm. Even in stressful situations.

Remember on Hell's Kitchen game quote: The customers can be impatient. Learning how to cook under pressure will compensate for the customer's impatience. Gordon himself has gone through hell far worse than these guys to get to where he is. He's been tutored by the best chefs in Britain and some even abuses him physically. At least he just shouts. Ironic how Marco Pierre White criticizes Gordon for being too mean to the contestants in Hell's Kitchen while he himself did the same thing.

I used to hate chefs in general bc they're really mean with the students, but after knowing better about Ramsay and watching several videos I understood that they just want to give people the best of the best. Like, if you cook any type of meat the wrong way and it releases any chemicals or it's raw, it can sicken the costumers. Edit: btw 5:40 the fucking spoon flying omg I laughed so hard LMAO

also Gordan has those harsh standards is because of the premise of the show a competition to win a job at his restaurants and have a wage of 250k a year so you better expect them to be near perfect if they will get paid that much. also hes that harsh is because the chefs on teh shows are mainly executive chefs so the main chef in the restaurant and they also have been cooking for a long time, and they are still making simple stupid mistakes
