Brings back such fond memories of WA state in my youth, I have a picture from 45 years ago where I had freashly caught and fried sea cucumber for my 10th birthday. My Grandma would take us camping a lot. One time we found out smelt were running on the coast near our camp site. She had a one piece bathing suit with fish net between the top and bottom. Hitting the surf, we tried using a discarded torn boat fish net to catch them, and she would net some of them in her suit. We caught a meal and were very happy.
