Mario didn't do much opera, but when he did, he commanded it. Gigli, Enrico Caruso and Mario Lanza were capable of shattering a wine glass due to the high notes they could reach. One of the reasons modern Tenors show respect and honor to Mario Lanza. Mario has been my singing favorite since I first heard him singing the Drinking Song from the Student Prince in 1954. Wow! I can't believe its been almost 70 years. His singing voice will never die.

Não foi maior que Franco Corelli! Faleceu aos 38 anos, muito jovem, ambos nasceram em 1921. Assisti todos os seus filmes. Adorava Mário Lanza, mas asseguro que Corelli foi completo e teve tempo de vida para mostrar isso ao mundo.

Beide Tenore waren Einmalig. Mario ist mein Nummer1 Tenor, leider ist er mit 38 Jahren zu früh gestorben. Franco Corelli,hat sein singing auch zu früh gestoppt. Ich bin glücklich, wir können Beide noch heute hören.

I grew up listening to Mario Lanza. To me there isn't another Tenor in the world with his ability. His voice is a gift from God. His range is incredible, melodious and sonorous. He also doesn't scream nor sound like being strangulated, like some of the others. It was lovely listening to him again. He left a great void when he passed away. God Bless you for the joy you brought the world. RIP Mario. You will always be missed.
