I am not sure why all the negative comments. This guy knows how to also make authentic Neapolitan style pizza in the wood oven also. He wouldn't have won the world champion pizza maker if he didn't. Not everyone can have a wood fire oven hence the use of that little oven. Get over yourselves really. He knows what he is doing.

As for those complaining about it being an add for Breville, The title clearly indicates that a particular oven is being used for this video. The point is that this guy obviously knows what he's doing.

The point is that "this guy" is literally LYING about what he's doing with that Breville . and therefore LYING about making a Neopolitan style pizza in that oven. There is literally ZERO charring on the cornicione when he takes it out and they show you a semi closeup of it and then , when they show you the bottom of pizza in a super closeup, he says "You can see the spotting......." And even that minimal spotting is nothing like the charring of the undercarriage of a properly baked Neapolitan pizza. He knows what he's doing when he works for himself, not when he lies for Breville. He should be talking about trying to make New York style pizza with that oven, not Neapolitan. They may announce that it's an ad for Breville, but they're using him to brag about his own wood fired oven award winning technique, which has nothing to do with the limitations of this oven.

I've reviewed the video and you may be right. Cooking is an art, so cooks always want to show their best results. Clearly the video was edited, which is obvious just from the appearance of the pizza stone itself, let alone the pizzas. Nevertheless, this pizza oven rates 4/5 stars on Amazon, which is validation for the product. One thing I can attest to from personal experience is that Breville products are good but pricey. I don't think it is worth the money to buy a single purpose product. My regular oven is still good enough for me.

It may be a little late to ask a question but, why don't you blend the basil into the tomato sauce so that you don't have burnt basil on the top of your pizza while still retaining the basil flavor? You could always add some fresh leaves for appearance after you take the pizza out of the oven.

Mom's family is from Naples, Dad's family is from Tiana, All his brothers, and father were all bakers, bread, pizza, cakes, but he never went to school, he learned from his cousins, even to make beautiful roses on the cakes. I love to cook, but I'm not good at cake decorating. I'd love to live in Australia, America, is dying fast. Johnny, what do you think about the metal pizza stone.? A slap of cast iron or flat surfaced griddle, will do the job as well as a stone. They are relatively cheap, I paid 10$ for a 14 inch griddle it's about 1/3 inch thick - perfect.

It turns out King Arthur 00 flour is in fact a fine 00 grade but is not high protein flour that you want for pizza. It is almost as low protein and soft as cake flour. The terminology 00 is misleading.

I make better than accredited Neopoliton. Rustic Brush Country Mesquite aged wood in the world. Only in Texas and well water filtered as well. 80 years.

Gloves in a hot kitchen - not a good idea. Creates sweat, and bacteria growth. So it is more hygienic to use washed hands - this is what I learned when working in a hospital
