I have a 17 human warrior and a decent leveling guild, it doesn’t look like a fresh server population wise but the world doesn’t feel dead at all, and having a good leveling guild really gives it life because the community involved in these “fresh” guilds are really solid. Best part for me is not feeling like I need to rush through leveling to stay with the curve and being able to play at a different pace than we do on a fresh server launch

That's awesome! The video is a bit old now and not up-to-date. I would suggest checking out Whitemane and Deviate Delight (on NA side) and then come to a conclusion where you want to stay. Hardcore is also picking up steam, maybe something to think about as well. ;) -Vincent

Would add that if you're crafting and not just speedrunning, you will make gold. I got my mount by lvl 42 as a Warrior which is crazy because 60's started buying stuff for their alts. Crafting and gathering mats pretty much all sell really well compared to a month ago.

I love vanilla with all my heart and I'm happy people have "fresh" to play as it is fun. I personally experienced enough fresh servers for now and wanting something new, I really enjoy SoD. But they for sure need to do fresh vanilla-tbc-wrath progression one day.

A lot of EU players landed on Deviate Delight as well, but it looks that for the time being, most of the raiding times are between 1-6 AM in EU - I know that Jeff has a raid on Saturady in the afternoon EST, which is great - 7pm CEST. A kind suggestion for you guys who are leading this movement to also create raiding / event times that are also feasible for EU players.

if you dont stop the current meta of buying gold to pay for raid gear, then the server will go the way of whitmain at some point. you guild leaders need to combat that with lots of raids the normal way. and make sure you mass report gold buyers

They won’t since the streamers and the retail people that play classic and 90% of pop are (loves) p2w gdkp, so they can insta get all their gear.

Even without GDKP there is numerous ways to P2W gear up in classic, and getting all the bis consumes for every raid is very expensive. Season of Discovery banned GDKP and gold buying is still a massive problem, maybe even worse now at lvl 60.

Vanilla has always been my favorite version of wow. I may just have to check this out. Only thing I wish is it was PVP rather than RP. Do you just download the normal game client and select this server?

It was RP-PvP and it's an official NA server from Blizzard. If you are interested in something fresh i would recommend the "new" Anniversary Classic realms from Blizzard! Just simply use your battlenet client and download it through there.

Forget giving Blizzard any money until we get permanent tbc and wrath servers. A fresh vanilla server would be great, but only if you can keep characters in the expansion you want to play. I like all three of the classic games, but Blizzard keeps feeding us crap like SoD or forcing characters to move on to Cata. I am not giving them a cent until they give players what they really want.

I wouldn’t roll on DD for two reasons: 1. I’ve heard that the mass-reporting for literally anything is very common and the GM’s don’t do anything to stop it. Why would I put my account at risk like that? 2. I just don’t want to be on a PvP server. I don’t like PvP and want to be able to level in peace.

No you haven’t seen mages selling boost because not enough are 60 with gear to do it properly 😂 it will come and in the end (very soon) it will be same sh!t as whitemane and all the other classic era servers. A retail minded shit server trying to be vanilla wow even if it’s not even close to what vanilla wow was/is😅 that’s just how it is when 90% of pop playing classic have the mentality they have. 100% when enough are 60 you will see endless gdkp,wts/wtb boost and all that classic sh!t. P-servers are the only true place to experience real vanilla wow 1.12.

Well I'm sorry to be a downer here with the negativity but I'm just based : - Turtle WoW : It has a cash shop. No way. And anyone stating it has no effect or that no one forces you to spend money... you either have too low an IQ, or you have completely lost sight of the old-school mmorpg game design and philosophies on which this game is built. - Blizzard official : Supporting a company that has both lied and direspected the playerbase over and over. Blizzard has implemented a cash shop for classic, tbc and wotlk. The wow token, joyous journey xp buff, character boosts, paid mounts and characters, etc. On top of that they don't care, almost no GM activity and they don't listen to the playerbase 99% of the time. And best case scenario Blizzard launches new fresh vanilla ; do you trust them not to include all the previously mentioned elements ? What about TBC and Wotlk, I'm not starting a character knowing I'm moving into future expansions where cash shop and p2w is present. I just can't trust nor justify giving them my money. So all in all, it's looking pretty grim, private servers SEEMS to be the future : and one WITHOUT any cash shop whatsoever. And all that is coming from someone who's been dreaming of playing (in the right conditions) for years now, because I absolutely love this game.

This is a tourist attraction drummed up by content creators looking to milk every cent from vanilla wow enjoyers they can. Once the monetization dries up, so will the server. Don't believe me? Go look at hardcore realms? Or literally ANY of the realms this group have converged on. Just check on this comment a year from now. Are they still here playing hyping this up? Or have they moved on to the next grift? I used to love Kargoz and his passion for the game. Until he established a community, then left it. Then popped back up, rinse, repeat, gone again. Fresh Invictus is full of toxic racist shitheads, which is funny because I don't peg Staysafe like that at all, so his guild being that way is crazy. Moon's guild leader is a legitimate simp. You have to let supposed females in that guild rant and curse and complain about everything or else the guild leader will kick you, though he'll let 2 dudes rip each other apart. Bankai has Shobek, a glorified manchild. Occasionally you'll run into someone nice on alliance but for the most part you run into either people who just wont say anything at all, or find that sitting in LFG being toxic af gives their lives meaning.
