BRINK - SOUL SKATERS!! (Disney movie is AMAZING)
@eduardtokosh34955 жыл бұрын
Basics are easier on rollerblades but serious tricks with rotations ( example 540 to some grind) are complex like a complex flip on board, and really dangerous. Every extreme sport had it's own hard stuff. I'm so glad to see skateboarders and rollerbladers give support and respect to each other, basically they are all SKATERS.
@Habeev075 жыл бұрын
I kinda agree, blading is an easier sport at the beginning and intermediate but at the highest level Blading is flat out suicidal poetry in motion. You can have so much style and ease - STEAZE, and be so expressive, but the moment you raise the amplitude, speed, size of obstacles, it makes for the risk of serious injury because you are locked into the skates. You CANNOT bail. At some point the trick is to big, too technical, and you pay the price. Blading fell off in the mid 00's because the scene progressed to a point where it was too dangerous to really keep upping the bar and if people were falling a lot in the XGames... people wouldn't enjoy watching falls and incomplete runs. BLADING AND SKATEBOARDING ARE FOREVER THE TRUEST GRAVITY DISCIPLINES. Thanks for showing Blading and all its glory. Disney movie: Brink.

MORE!! THIS is what we need to see!! There is NO reason for bad blood between skaters and rollerbladers. We’re all skating. And the more skaters there are, the more skate parks will be built, the more skate shops there will be, the more contests there will be, the more money there will be for pro’s, the more innovation there is in equipment, etc. It’s just like skiing and snowboarding: They need each other. There aren’t enough snowboarders for “snowboarding” resorts, and without snowboarders, many ski resorts would have to shut down. Plus, they feed off each other’s culture and technology. Blazers and skaters unite!!

Early X-Games coverage was brutal for inline athletes. The announcers snubbed them, skateboarders pushed them around. It got to the point where X-Games literally pushed inline out before the sport even peaked. This moment in history was a turning point for boarders. They now had the "go ahead" to spread prejudice, intolerance, homophobia and hate: causing a decline in roller-bating and an incline in senseless beatings.

Yeah, the american xgames really helped fan that hatred. Wasnt there at least 2 early 90s skate based movies? Airbourne and another...
@TheIdiotChallenege5 жыл бұрын
I used to blade a lot in the 90's, but I also grew up in Hawaii where BMX, skaters and bladers all got along because we did it all, we all skated, bladed and BMX'd, then I moved to the mainland and that is where I learned that they called blades, fruit boots lol.
@jaygio5 жыл бұрын
There was hate because people are followers. The 90s was a funny time, and even skateboarding wasn't socially acceptable. But there would still be hate and separation amongst people who bladed verse skated. Nevertheless, as much as skateboarding wasn't socially acceptable, it still attracted followers. And those followers hated just as those they idolized did. Glad to see it isn't about that today.

Back in the 90's and early 2000's boarders and bladers were at each other so much. Even fights would break out in the skateparks. Awesome to see that the rivalry has finally ended. Respect is respect is respect now. It took a long time but it finally happened.

That’s not true. Blading is 80% grinds, depending what you’re grinding on and the basic grinds, it can be easier than doing an ollie or flipping a board onto a grind. Very different... blading’s fun though.
@Jae_hX5 жыл бұрын
@@daltonhunt8911 Right. Do you do both? Cuz I do? What you base your stupid ass opinion on? Being attached? You're attached on Skiis and Snowboarding and even kinda BmXing, are those easy too? Go youtube some Blading videos and go see what the standard for pro is, these dudes you are seeing in this video aren't really anyone and they ain't doing anything. Go check out Franky Morales, Julian Bah, Jon Jolio, Brian Aragon, Roman Abrate. You may be able to start doing something way faster on blades than a board but alll that means is Skateboarding is fucking horribly boring, not harder. Again, check the standards bro. As a rollerblader who also like skateboarding I like seeing the two sports together. Too many skateboarders have a negative view on rollerblading and vice versa. Both are equally difficult. Skateboarding is super technical, based on balance and footwork. rollerblading is all about committing to the trick, balance and footwork. Tired of seeing segregation of 2 sports that are so similar. I like that the skateboarders tried it and would be interested in seeing the rollerblades skateboard with you guys. Great video
@HappierHealthierYou5 жыл бұрын
It's kind off funny how most roller bladers also skateboard but not really the other way around. But way back in the day I got a few of my skateboard friends to buy a pair of blades.
@rungeon835 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more, It's a shame that so many skateboarders have a crazy negative attuide, it tends to be them more than others, they are like that with scooters/rollerblades and a bit less with bmxers for some reason. I love skateboarding, but HATE the elitist attuide. I love bmx/inline/skateboarding, not sure why it's one or the other.

@HappierHealthierYou I think I know what you mean. But at least technically what you write doesn't make much sense. When you're a blader who is also skateboarding then you're also a skateboarder. A skateboarder who is also blading.
