I made this today for my wife. She loves pumpkin anything. My daughter and I don’t really like pumpkin. We’ll eat it but not our first choice. Well I was licking the batter and my daughter had two pieces. I did 50/50 butter and oil and 50/50 brown and white sugar. For people who don’t really like pumpkin, this was excellent.

I always make pumpkin bread in October, so I’m trying this one! I stocked up on baking supplies today so that I can bake whenever it strikes me-which is often this time of year! I’m a retired elementary school teacher and have a huge kitchen now to bake in, so life is sweet! My guy told me last night that he’s never known anyone who loves to bake as much as I do. John, this recipe is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! And the way you explain the process is fabulous! On my first try, I made 19 loaves, six in the oven at 400F at a time. They came out PERFECT and delighted over 200 university students! Every recipe I've tried so far, works wonderfully! I just baked some more for my family for Thanksgiving. i did this last year with the recipe on your website and LOVED IT!!!!! i used olive oil and 50/50 brown/white sugar that gave a very moist-soft bread, and added a little tiny bit of garam masala that gave a little spicy pinch but omg SO delicious!! love your channel

Made this recipe today exc i put batter in 4 mini loaf pans & adjusted the baking time and they were perfect. I had tried a diff recipe online using a whole can of pumpkin and it was not good. Dense and seemed uncooked at the bottoms. I knew the proportions were not good so looked for one using less pumpkin and this was perfect. All his recipes turn out great. The crumb topping one is my go-to recipe now for muffins

Great pumpkin bread recipe thank you for sharing! For those who don’t like using vegetable oil in their baked goods try using a 50/50 combination of unsweetened apple sauce and melted butter which makes the bread super moist but still maintains its integrity

I had real good pumpkin loaf a few weeks ago the lady who made it made like a pumpkin roll whereby she Spread the pumpkin loaf mixture onto a sheet pan, baked it, and then she spread on an orange colored cream cheese frosting over top and then she rolled it and covered the top of the loaf with walnuts. 😋

I prefer your original recipe from a few years ago. I make it all the time and all year long, it’s so moist and delicious! I’m not sure why you changed it up. Both the brown and white sugars (which I cut back as don’t like too sweet) make that richer flavour. Anyway, I do love so many of your recipes 😋🙂

I really appreciate the freezer information and how you always have the weights handy! I love adding a bit (ok, a lot) of powdered hazelnut coffee creamer to my pumpkin pie (crust and filling). I bet that would be awesome here as well. Or possibly some whole toasted hazelnuts. I shall have to experiment. 😊

Dry Ingredients Flour- 1 3/4 cups (280g) Baking soda- 1 tsp Baking powder- 1/2 tsp Salt- 1/2 tsp (you can replace the next two with pumpkin pie spice) Cinnamon- 2 tsp Nutmeg- 1/4 tsp Wet ingredients Pumpkin Puree- 1 1/3 cups (300g) Any neutral oil- 2/3 cup (160ml) Granulated sugar- 1 1/4 cup (250g) you could go 50/50 brown and white sugar Two eggs Vanilla- 1 tsp Then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold them together and make sure not to overmix it. Oven for 350 1 hour
