Nice review. Great to see it working well with the dropper post. Are you still happy with the Dakine hip pack too?

Yeh love the hip pack mate.

Glad you like it! I designed this specifically to work with dropper posts. The strap slides through a little loop so you can adjust where the plastic ring and velcro land when it's done up tight under your saddle. One other note: you don't need to feed each end of the strap through separate rails (though there's nothing wrong with that). I like to feed the plastic end from the side through both rails at once-it's a bit less fiddly. You can see my hands do it in this goofy video kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5XLhYiJYqaqY68

Interesting review! I been debating a saddle bag. I was looking at my old gear the other day and discovered I have 3 saddle bags from the 90s! I think I can DIY something to make it work on my dropper post. If that fails, I'll look into the Caddy or I just learned PNW just came out with a new saddle bag. I'd like to be able to store a tube in it as well. I'll look into it...

You do a better job of selling this caddy than Lezyne does. 😆 Great job and thank you!

Great review. I'm glad you showed the demo with the dropper because that was my biggest question. I agree, I am not going for looks. I need something that will work and will store my tools. This looks like it will do the trick. Sold!!! Thanks for this review. I've never heard of this bag until now.

how long the velcro last? i used mine for a year and the bag dropped off my saddle on a strip of a rather rough road. found out all the loops part has grown kind of like your beard :p and not holding tight anymore

great content🙂 one of the better bags I have seen so far, not the bulky weird things xc riders used few years ago. Well presented :-)

Is the velcro strap removable?
@ReluctantRider4 жыл бұрын
It is yes. There is the main velcro strap that comes off and a small velcro tab that holds the roll closed that is fixed.
@jpoodle4 жыл бұрын
@@ReluctantRider thank you! This was the deciding factor on this roll for me, I just have never trusted velcro. Time to buy local I hope.

I will stick with my pack, but that's what I need, cus I want to be able to go on any bike with all my gear or go pick up some groceries, got everything I need always and can add more. but I understand the need for stuff like this, but nice for races for sure.
@ReluctantRider5 жыл бұрын
Yeh, this is definitely not for groceries!

Will a standard smartphone, like an iphone 8 (non-phablet) fit in the middle pocket?
@ReluctantRider5 жыл бұрын
Yes I would say so. Not at home to check but it rolls quite tight keep in mind. Unless you don't pack much or only pack flat stuff then you might damage the phone screen.
