You don't want to dry fire spring piston air rifles, it will damage the spring, piston and piston seal along with slamming into the end of the compression chamber causing damage there too👍

I have had my impact max for about 4 years and some change now have gotten raccoons a fox rabbits birds I also have the .177 Ruger air hawk and I just got a JTS .25 pcp rifle recently but I’m interested in this line of scopes… I want the mil dot reticle though it’s time consuming going back and forth between KZbin and Amazon but it can be well worth it… that’s a decent rifle though and I’m happy to see others getting their money out of it because I mostly hear complaints now if a barrel came out of box pointing left or right or something that’s valid but overall a capable shooter can absolutely shoot a functioning version of this gun successfully

Subscribed! I love everything break barrel and the fact your wife has a Hatsan 125 (even if it’s pink Lol) is awesome because they are one of the hardest hitting break barrels you can buy. My Hatsan 125 is the vortex in camo and that thing is a beast to cock at 50ft/lbs. It’s also quite lengthy at 48.5” and weighs 10.5/lbs scoped with UTG 3-9x40! Took it hunting opening day last year and I realized I wasn’t gonna be stalking with that, it’s more of a take’r easy and pick a spot and let them come to you. I don’t shoot it as much as my Gamo Swarm Whisper or Benjamin Prowler. I think the Benjamin Prowler is my favorite break barrel in terms of power to ease of shooting ratio. It’s right in the middle in terms of power between my three breakers and probably the quietest. Although, it has the worst trigger of the three as well... even with the RC bearing mod. I almost bought the Ruger Impact Max Elite because I love how it has the Weaver/Picatinny rail scope mount. It makes the POI so much more reliable and that wood stock is pretty handsome if I do say so myself, but the Benjamin Prowler was half the price and I can’t complain. However that doesn’t mean I can’t have them both Lol. I’m in NY state, so ammo here has been scarce for sometime and Walmart doesn’t stock many air rifles (or pellets) in .22 in my area. I need to replace my Pinty 3-9x32 because the POI changes with the AO I think it’s just poor glass quality. Great video I think I’m gonna pickup this scope for my Prowler and the fact it comes with the 1-piece mount is a steal. Not enough break barrel hunting videos in .22 IMO. Looking forward to seeing that Ruger in action!

Awesome video I subscribed, I just bought this scope for my Marlin model 60ss 22 long rifle. Awesome video. Just before purchasing this scope I purchased the Monstrum 6-24×50 FFP scope for my Savage model 10 police special chambered 308 I was so impressed with it, it has sold me on the Monstrum scopes.. fast forward this video says a year ago my I paid $89.00 for mine off of Amazon

The cvlife 6x24x50 did the same for me. Held zero then out. You always hear buy springer rated scopes but there is no such thing. I was thinking about buying the UTG 6-24X50 1" Hunter Scope. I shoot of a bi-pod no problem. I'm so tried of hearing people say what the gun likes. It really has to do with the rifle twist rate, is it a 1:7, 1:8, 1:9, that's what it about. Heavier the grain 1:12 depending on the barrel length. I'm also tried of hearing about cleaning & oiling pellets. I shoot the cheapest of the cheap. Good advice trigger control & practice is your friend.

If it holds up on a break barrel that's pretty good. They're scope destroyers. These scopes have gone up in price now but still seem like a decent deal

I don’t know anything about air guns and I’m just now getting into them. I’m looking for a scope for my gamo and I’m thinking about getting this one 🤔. How has this scope held up since this video?

Have you ever tried a Simmons scope? Supposedly they have really good glass but the hardware is a little chintzy. The Simmons 3-9x40 is roughly the same price.
@truepassionoutdoors59253 жыл бұрын
Yes I have used Simmons scopes before they are also a decent scope for the money. With my personal experience I think monstrum tactical products are just better products at a really good price.

Weird, looks exactly like the cv life scope minus the throw lever, I bet they’re even made in the same factory.

Great video is this scope rated compatible with springer rifles? Some scopes can't take the repetitive recoil of the springer's. The company's web site doesn't say-Thanks!

@@truepassionoutdoors5925 regular rifle scopes tend to have issues holding up to springers. High powered rifles are actually much easier on scopes than spring rifles because of the constant vibration of the spring. I have one of the monstrum scopes on my AR though and love it, tempted to try one on my air rifle.

This scope is not $57, might want to fix your video.
@@truepassionoutdoors5925 I have a Pinty 3-9x32 which is probably the same as the CVlife scope and the glass isn’t great the AO is way off in clarity when adjusting parallax. Basically it’s junk and is almost unusable. I love my UTG 3-9x40 AO True Hunter but that’s necessary $100 just for the durability and build quality for my Hatsan 125 Vortex Camo in .22 which is a serious magnum breaker at about 50/lbs of cocking effort and has more recoil than a 22LR. But that thing smacks squirrels so hard, there is no disco dancing when they hit they’re dead (probably severs the spinal cord) before they hit ground. I don’t think that Ruger is a magnum it looks like the elite just by the cocking effort. My Gamo isn’t bad only about 15-17/FPE and my Benjamin Prowler is about 20/FPE and my Hatsan 125 Vortex is like 28/FPE last time I Chrony’d them. This is just the video I’m looking for as I’m looking for a sub $100 scope for my Benjamin Prowler in 22. Great video I’m gonna try it out. Definitely interested in your channel and I think you should do more videos. I LOVE break barrel hunting videos!!! PCP’s are nice and all but I don’t like having to rely on a scuba tank. Also, smacking a butter in its fuse box is that much more rewarding because it takes skill where PCP’s have no recoil. Great video 👍
