The thing about Rao is he’s reliant on his teammates to actually take advantage of his abilities which is why I’m hoping they don’t nerf him . There already isn’t enough Rao mains and it’s not often the engineers assist you with taking down jets and and tanks

I agree with you completely. Rao was the first specialist I got to tier 1, and I really didn't like it when they nerfed his range. Remember when helicopters became super OP? I was using Rao's ability to chase them off while painting them with the soflam.

I've used Rao since launch, and his character is the best in my opinion. Extremely versatile. The hacking is what makes him the best to use. Especially when I'm "camping".

The extra m5 rocket on Crawford is way more useful for killing tanks than Lis. The first rocket just gets healed by their repair button and the second one just causes smart players to drive away and heal from the timed repair which will fully repair their vehicle by the time Lis gets 1 rocket back. Helicopters are way too maneuverable to even hit too, they can switch from full speed left to right in like 1 second or just straight up outrun her missile because it only has 475m of range. Even with me literally maxing out my DPI I always have had helicopters completely juke my missile. The only use for her is to finish off tanks behind cover but that requires teammates also playing engineer and shooting at tanks which is rare to say the least. On crawford though its so easy to just send 4 rockets into the side of a tank and delete it from existence.

I definitely agree with you about Zane's airburst nerf. I understood DICE intention in reducing the magazine from 2 to 1 to avoid the spam, but they should have kept the ammo count to 6 as this has drastically reduced its effectiveness. Hoping they make some changes to the airburst on the following updates. If they wish to keep the current ammo count and magazine, they can at least reduce the cooldown to 10sec compensate that.

I started to play this game yesterday. Going with Boris machine guns and turrets. Didn't know he sucks so much haha. Thanks for this video! Seeing you devastating those poor lads with all the jumping from aroud the corner to the middle of corridor and laser beaming everyone makes me sad. In this game it seems like everyone is equiped with a laser, shooting full auto from 50m. This is not how I remember BF games I used to play (bf3 and bf4). Having said, it's fun to play. Will see for how long.

Crawford is probably SS tier on Redacted right now. If you have enough, you could literally make it impossible for the enemy team to push out of spawn. Had one team that was using 6-10 Crawford turrets for defense on Breakthrough once. Nobody was able to get anywhere when they did.

Ive been enjoying dozer a ton recently. His support marking is extremely strong and hes basically a guaranteed win in 1v1 situations. He really thrives when you play aggressively and your team stays behind you and kills the enemies who are shooting at your shield (which ive noticed alot of people do for some reason).

the underbarrel grenade launcher nerf sucks so bad, im fully convinced its an unintended bug from the SPH nerf because unlike that, the UGBL can't one shot people, and its only ever used to finish off opponents/damage vehicles, and the only specialist that can fully utilise the grenades in the first place is Zain. I still put UGBL on all of my AR's because it looks cool but back then, having 3 grenades makes it so that you're somewhat useful against vehicles and you can flush people behind cover/inside a building, unlike now where you only have one shot and then your launcher becomes useless

I’ve found Dozer to be great for support marking, at range you often have the advantage to stand in the open and mark targets for the team without the enemy team having much counter.

Astute observations. The ranking I think changes somewhat if we're talking about CQB style no vehicle gameplay like Redacted vs. all the other maps. I used to like Zain but they really destroyed him. I'm gonna try out Irish now for Redacted since he's similar to Falck in that he can heal himself repeatedly now with the med pack without waiting for the med crate cooldown, can revive, and his APS should be useful. Will also try playing Rao again on the big maps once the Redacted playlist is over. I'm still bitter about Angel being nerfed to oblivion. They should have done something to balance his armor ability.

I've found that in Redacted more often than not after C point is done, no matter who caps it, it often ends up with most of one team spawntrapping most of the other team because there is only one exit from either spawn. No matter if you trapping or being trapped the sentry is very useful because more often than not people end up defaulting to Sundance and underbarrels Edit: This actually only happens on Killswitch the new mode because the spawns are right next to each other, but still

Great,but that last "sentinel nerf" slowed his progression down!! I T-1 all my support team,but after being only a few hundred away,I upped Falk and Angel, quickly,went back to my go -to,Irish,man it's like running in mud!! I wish Zain at least had 6 rounds in his airburst. It takes 3 shots to kill someone, so 5 falls a bit short of getting two kills in. Unless of course there are multiple enemies behind cover, but you get my point

I believe Rao is good with a lot of ppl don't use him and with all the vehicles that can be deployed you need a good counter...it's good to have another player that can help out even tho he doesn't carry heavy weapons to fire. Good team work you think about spot and u shot the rocket. As much as u hack if an engineer doesn't take advantage of it then that is only half the work. The tanks and certain vehicles are set up to hold 3 plus ppl. So Rao and an engineer the way they are is a good match up. Players don't drop ammo boxes like that no more and to use all ur heavy ammunition on one tank to go to the next with nothing defeats the purpose. So with Rao you have a better chance of hitting a weak spot and holding to one rocket 🚀 maybe 🤷🏿‍♂️. It is a team work game. Not everyone can take a tank alone and driving a vehicle with just you in it, isn't the best either. Team work makes the dream work

08:05 I don't really care for the rate of fire; the gun wastes a whole second aiming and beeping like a smoke detector, proceeeds to fire three shots, stops shooting, and waits another second to start shooting again. I think the cooldown on ammo crates made angel a fair bit stronger for a team that plays him well, it would've been better if underbarrels hadn't been nerfed so hard but an angel running in an exterior location with a Crawford for example is a very powerful combo since in the time it takes Crawford to fire 4 RPGs the crates cooldown will expire and he can have another 4 straight away. Totally agree about the Boris power creep but I don't think that repair buff would help a lot I do play most of the specialists fairly often and do well with them all but I haven't played Rao really since the class system was added so maybe I need to try him again lol

I feel like they need to give Crawford and Boris 4 or 5 M5 launcher rockets and allow Lis to use the M5 too, but limit her ammo to 3. Lis just does not feel like the tank killer she is made out to be as she can only fire 2 shots in succession, which isn't enough to kill a tank, and has limited means to go for the kill once she has expended her ammo. Her launcher is good for finishing off badly damaged vehicles trying to flee, but i would ideally like to be able to weave her launcher shots in with the M5 for some sustained pressure on vehicles. Just my 2 cents. Edit: Also, my issue with Boris isn't so much the amount of damage his turret does: it's how easy the turret is to destroy and specifically how damn long it takes to lock on to targets before firing. There have been times when i've deployed my turret in the corner of a room and an enemy player will run through the room and be pretty much out the door before the turret realises there is an enemy present.

Rao even in the past for his passive alone was borderline OP, what other specialist can reveal who or what damages you without a push of a button/skill to activatean ability? Exactly, no one. His infantry hacking is even more OP than before, it wallhacks everybody in that vicinity of the hacked target for about 1 second, but you can spam that endlessly between different targets for essentially a free wallhack, better than Paik and quicker.

If you know how to use Boris then he's not bad at all. Use his turret as a toss out at a corner for player detection and player distraction to pop around the corner and get free shots on a player. Use the turret for lane control. Use the turret for a flank alarm. Etc etc. He's rated poor bc ppl are using his turret like it should be a stand alone feature.

I started play rao with season 6, and now he is well balanced. You must consider that the engineer class was rendered into crap, so RAO gives this infantry farmers something back. There is nothing wrong about this. In redacted Rao works so fine and make more fun than nade spamming from sundance. I guess you have different opinions..but thats fine.

I have almost 800 hours with the game and I could say Dozer is my main, with mastery 300 and most specialists sitting at Mastery 40. I don't know what it is about him, but I've personally never struggled and even managed to T1 him when he was still garbage. I just find I survive more often with him mostly due to being able to survive explosions that would kill most other players, and just bonking peopleon the head is fun. Plus the bomb suit and all of his cosmetics are just the best. He's S tier in my heart! I have 28K kills and almost 2.5K revives with him cause I always try to revive my squad mates, I feel like he's a good support role in that case. Pop smoke, revive and shield cover while your squad mate gets up and orientates or gets out of line of fire.

I played Dozer back in the day when he was the worst specialist of them all, simply because I like underdogs and interesting abilities, as well as he is S-Tier for looking and sounding so damn cool. However nowadays he is alright, not the worst nighmare to be up against, but definetely a force to be reconned with. I can also totally see why they nerfed him again even if he already wasn't the greatest specialist. They did so in preparation for the new map and I'll grant them that: It would be very VERY annoying if everyone was running around as Dozer in those tight tunnels. As it stands he remains decent for beginners and powerful yet not OP for experienced players. Pretty perfect imo. Though it might make also sense to add here that since the update I have been killed by a Dozershield perhaps like 3 times? That isn't all that much, so to all the people crying out for nerfing him even harder (some even suggest a 2-hit-kill for his shield, which... like... no... absolutely not.) you just need to learn how to fight his shield. A good start is to not unload your magazine into it, but his feet instead. Fire nades also work wonders. As long as Dozer doesn't jump around the corner surprising you from 3 meters away, you shouldn't have much trouble killing or avoiding him.

All I want is consistency with his shield. Felt like both clips I showed in the video with me bashing enemies with the shield should have earned kills and didn't. I actually had a clip where I got a hitmarker with the shield as well. You just get so much more value with other specialists.

I might few him through some Rose tinted glasses, as I remember playing him a lot when you had to bash your opponent 20 times into a wall to one of the Hits to register. So compared to how he was, he really still is fine. Also I honestly like that he still has that underdog feel about him. 😅

IMO Liz isn’t very good bc only 2 missiles that will not destroy a vehicle and the vehicle will heal before the missiles are ready again so I suggest she needs 3 missiles than 2 . And Boris should have double speed repairing passive . Dunno why Blasco is Tier S bc she gets zero points for her gadget disruptions. What’s so great about her ? The points system are unfair as some like Falke gets 10 points for revives but Liz gets 1 points for repairs etc etc

Battlefield 2042 has the most ways to spot people in any Battlefield game and Blasco's device prevents all of that instantly. Also not sure why you think her gadget gets no points, you can literally rack up 100+ assists if you put the device down in optimal locations in breakthrough.

Actually my personal tier list is: S tier: - Falck (best support class, excelent survivality and versality) - Mackay (great mobility in most maps) - Lis (best enginner, best tool against Air Vehicles and also best versality as can equip a secondary gadget like c5 or AT mines) - Sundance (fun + great mobility in vertical maps and excelent grenades, also very good for landing on top of a enemy AA and destroy them with c5) A: - Paik (very op on redacted if you use shotgun + smokes, otherwise she's good in most cases if you pop a smoke and abuse her wallhack tool) - Irish (good cover + situational alternative gadget) B: - Blasco (i really don't like her for a sniper role, but i find her useful for flanking and ambushing enemies) - Zain (good but not fantastic gadget, useful in some maps, bad in others) - Crawford (His turret is very situational and risky to get a sniper headshot, but it's useful to get 1 or 2 free kills of unaware enemies) C: - Casper (i'm really not sure how to rank him) - Dozer (very situational however very fun with friends) - Angel (ok, but falck is a better pick) D: - Boris (not really that useful, his turret can help you finish some enemies and provide some supression, but overall i use it like a flank alarm) F: - Rao (just annoying, not good at all)

How in your right mind can you put Sundance so low? She literally moves through maps faster than anyone else which is vital on all the big maps we have plus the S-pen and C5 and her own grenades that are really effective in tight areas which really comes in play on the new map. But her ability to fly and move around so fast is just the best and vita to control flags fast. And great to flank the other team much faster, by flying behind them instead of going around the other team which takes alot longer time and so on.

That entire thing that you typed out to me literally highlights one situation in which Sundance excels. And this is coming from someone that loves playing Sundance. When grading these specialists, you need to take into account how their abilities work in all situations. And it’s also why I don’t grade on an S-F tier scale. Sundance has had their kit mostly stripped. Lost two grenades in the grenade belt, scatter grenade got another nerf this update and only works well in very few situations outside of the new map. And that’s why, it’s the stop needing me tier. Sundance is not great but not bad and keeps getting proxy nerfs.
