Has this game changed a lot in the last couple years? The last time I played it (in and around Covid times) at 5:03, that would have been instant death for me. The bots were ruthless and never missed. It does look like the graphics have improved. Everything back then looked like a water colour painting and you couldn't see shit.

i just did one i did start with a tt but i killed this guy with a bastion with bastion plate and quadnods lvl 5 thor arour comtac 4 and death shadow masks then the guns i cant remeber what they are now but i thunk it was a sr 25 and a smt ak both over 165 to mechanic i dident sell em tho lol and all that was x2 bc his tm8 ran the same kit and it was in his backpack

Zero to Hero means going in with stuff that doesn't cost money. He did kinda bend the rules by wearing a Momex and some headphones, but other than that using a melee is completely fair game.
