I'm going to tell you that since I discovered your videos, my hair life has dramatically improved! In the past I was a product Junkie, but nothing seemed to work. Then I watched one of your videos and tried water and glycerin for my hydration and my hair stayed hydrated all day! Then I watched the video where you said I should keep things simple so I found the butters and oils that work best for my hair. And finally I watched the video of yours that showed you using the lco method and girl, my hair is now super cooperative. I love you!

I've been natural for one year. It is a struggle and sometimes I just wanna relax it lol. But every day that I don't relax my hair out of frustration is a joyous day 😂😂. If I did, it isn't a huge deal as long as it's healthy. But I'm trying to stay natural and healthy love my hair more than I already do. I only trust you for valuable information. You're straight to the point, hilarious, and you don't have a long ass intro with you posing in different poses feeling yourself the majority of the video. These other youtubers don't know what the heck they're doing.

I don't even have 4c hair and I get frustrated, my hair is baby fine and long so it tangles like you would not believe so I have to prepoo with oil and some conditioners. What I do when I'm really fed up is blow dry on cool and then wrap with a mouse and oil stop it from frizzing and comes out straight and I just put it in a bun. I just move the bun up and down every two days or so, last day bf washing again I will wear it out b/c by end of week it's straight.

I washed my hair yesterday and I use the steps you've encouraged for us naturals. I include fermented rice water when I deep condition, rinsing after 30-45 mins. This has sooo helped to strengthen my hair with sooo less breakage. I air dry, no heat and keep my hair in protective to low manipulated styles. NF you are my "hair angel!!!" 😍😇

I'm in the west, California to be exact. But it has been mostly a cold winter. Every winter I do a long-term protective style (my go to style is 2 strand twist extensions) and I re-do it ever 4 to 6 weeks. Keep moisturized with braid spray daily or every other day (depending.) This way my hair is protected and I get a break.

My struggle was being an experiment junkie lol. I've almost tried it all, but I've learned my hair loves Ayurvedic hair treatments. My hair is so strong and healthy. I'm 4c and here's my wash day routine : I use Shikaikai as a shampoo or pure African black soap. Next I use a henna/amla hair gloss (I use Aussie moist conditioner in my gloss). Then follow that up with Aussie moist deeep conditioner. I allow both the gloss and deep conditioning treatments sit on my hair for about an hour. Then it's LOC time. Ayurvedic is the way to go ladies. My hair is stronger than a single mother!😂😂😂

My hair used to be so easy to do but after dying it I wasn’t taught at all about how that changes porosity.HUNDREDS of products being thrown away ,none penetrating my hair without a few seconds later having it feel like sandpaper. I was crying thinking I would have to cut it or that I might have heat damaged it . I’m so glad I’ve found your channel where you showed me so much about hair and how to deal with porosities you are the best and the funniest, exposing all these fake you tubers who use 50 shades of eco styler gel and then have the nerve to slap the word style on it. Like girl we all know that hunk of product is more of an alien than a style.

Personal opinion: I think prepooing is extra, if you need to wash your hair because its dirty/you have build up then I don’t see the point of putting products on dirty hair just to use warm water and shampoo to wash it out.

Chelsea Odera I used to use oil, and I liked how my hair felt after shampoo, but it didnt make detangling as easy as with conditioner. Using conditioner cut my detangling time waaay down, and that was my biggest issue . I don't think I've experience hygral fatigue (or at least bad enough to notice). Might switch it up though.

I no longer do long detangling sessions before I wash. I lightly finger detangle dry hair then drench my hair thoroughly in shower while lightly pulling apart tangles, letting the water do the work. Then I use a moisturizing detangling shampoo (this makes all the difference). I deep condish (which further detangles), rinse & do my final comb out (by this time hair is soft, hydrated & very easy to comb out😁)! I have coily, very dense & long hair.

I have 4C hair and never section my hair while washing. So long as I thoroughly detangle before I step in the shower then I’m fine. No knots, tangles etc

One of my daughters has beautiful thick 4c hair, but she is 5yo and can't stand wash day. I find pre pooing and finger detangling helps so much. I also try to deep condition her hair as much as I can when time allows it, and only wash her hair every 2 or 3 weeks. I love your videos! =)

I stick with what works for me....twist outs. I usually air dry and that takes a couple of days or so. If I'm not in the house I use a turban until my hair is dry. All of these tips are awesome! The only one that I don't do that I should is prepoo. I'm also going to work on protective styling at least four times a year. Thanks for another great video NappyFu!

Glad I watched this because some girl tried to encourage me not to wash my hair like I have been doing the last two years as a natural and to just condition it every month!!! Not with this 4c hair I can't...I have my own regimen thanks to watching women that have 4b/4c hair like mines....So thank you for the video I feel more confident about what Ive been doing. However, there are only so many protective styles I know how to do (twists, braids) but what other styles are good and will last where I don't have to style everyday because this is a struggle for me even tried wearing bonnets at night or silk scarves. The style just does not last long......

you may or may not see my comment but imma make it anyway. I'm new to the whole natural hair game and it has been a struggle and then I found your channel and guuurrrrl lemme tell you it helped a lot! I have been watching a lot of videos of girls that dont have 4c hair and tbh (bless em) using their tips made me have way more trouble than needed. With your channel I found out what I have been doing wrong and how to fix it. All of this to say thank you very very much and keep doing you :)
