I don't recommend it since the cake won't bake evenly. You can split the batter in half and bake the second half later.

Hi Tatyana so o made your cake and decided to follow your video and recipe step by step. Than realized after the cake was done it didn’t have any flavor. That's a great question. I wanted the juices from the strawberries to act as a kind of syrup and soak into the cake layers. If I spread the frosting first, the berries would just sit on top of the buttercream and eventually start seeping out the sides. Whenever you have a fruit cake, it's best to add the fruit directly onto the cake, then frost the next cake layer and invert it. :)
