Got this one when it originally released. I hadn't realized that there was a revival of pixel gaming. It single-handedly got me back into gaming. Several years later I now have a massive retro collection and can't be any happier.

My brother did get Devil Engine for Christmas on the PS5 last year. Solid game I must say. We STG fans are spoiled. Let’s hope the Switch successor keeps up the same momentum.

I love playing modern shooters or SHMUP games are difficult to get through but as long as you keep playing it over and over again you understand to beat the game.

It's a good game and a great review - one minor nitpick is that most of the soundtrack was actually done by Qwesta, who (along with his brother, the game's artist) claim they were not paid properly for their contributions :(

I have this on physical for the PS4. This game is GREAT and hard as heck!

I have never played any of those games before. Well, I gotta say jim, the shoot em up games looks incredible. I'd say it's worth it to play.

Never played this one I have played PARODIUS RADIANT SILVERGUN GRADIUS SALAMANDER COTTON 2 THE GAME PARADISE and THUNDER FORCE V! I LOVE ALL of these games (except maybe Gradius!) (Edit) also Darius!
