@@scd If you like the SF, the GTS is so much more than a SF with an open roof, its a whole other level. I found the SF was a bit hyperactive which can get wearing, with the GTS it’s like everything has just had the sharp edges rounded, makes it so much more enjoyable all of the time......and the noise!!!

Great car. Looking at F12, 599, 575 each generation is worth about 10-20k more at a similar age. Think the floor-price for the 812 is another 100 - 120k lower in about 8 years time. That’s the beauty of the V12s - by the time it is 10 years old it’s no longer just an aspiration. 😊. And Astons fall even faster 😀

Floor price will probably be £80K for the lowest and maybe £120K for the best. Most V12 Ferrari are very similar I'm value to V12 Astons from what I've seen. Vanquish to 575, DBS to 599 etc.

I have noticed that in the UK the prices of supercars fall more than in Sweden. If we then take a Ferrari 812 Superfast in Sweden, it loses around 20 - 30,000 pounds just from the time it was new. Then it is 3 years old and not many miles on the meter.

The golden rule when specifying a Ferrari is knowing when to stop and if you don’t stop, it can also end up looking a mess. It’s too easy to be like a kid in a candy store with the salesman rubbing his hands as the price increases. Most Ferrari options are cosmetic in nature and what you think looks great may not to the next buyer. I have an 812 GTS coming and have not specified any exterior carbon at all. My extravagance is a 3 layer paint finish which adds £18000/$25000 but overall my options add less than 20% to the cost of the car. I hope the GTS will depreciate slower than the SF but there’s no doubt it’s a major element of the ownership cost. That said, I’m there for the long term. I have 3 Ferraris already and the oldest is 25 years old and its worth pretty much what I paid for it, aside from inflation. It also brings a smile to my face every time I drive it - it’s a 95 F355 Berlinetta.

Its acctually the wost time. Typical journalist mistake who have actually no clue.... All it needs is to find someone (like me) with good Ferrari relationship to learn that they will relese in less than a month the new track-focused (limited edition) version (like the GTO and TDF). As it always did for the previous models, the price for the regular 812 will rapidly drop at least an other 10-20%.
