They’re not that hard to play, at least for me. Just give everything to Esau and only give hp to Jacob. If you play them with equal spread of items, you’re making it much harder from my experience.

just start a normal run, player one being J+E and second player whoever you wanna be, then die as the first player and play the game as player 2, the character you wanted to be and it still gives you the unlock regardless if J+E is dead or not, its what i did to get my 2nd dead god file, i dont know if it worls for tainted j+e or not or if its been patched because i did this last year but its still worth a try :)

I've been going for 100% for a while now and I like to see guides to see what I can unlock first, I have almost everything for the normal characters except mother and beast and now I'm going for the tainted ones, I have full tainted issac and I want to go for the others. I played j+e only for the rock bottom unlock but when I discovered you can take 2 pedestals at the same time I became addicted to j+e it's so fun lol also great list I totally agree

From what I know, the miniboss will drop the trinket no matter what, even if it is not unlocked. But I might be wrong

I just had a look on the Wiki, and it seems like it can be unlocked in 2 ways. Either by defeating Ultra Pride or by beating Blue Baby as Judas. I never knew that, pretty interesting

did you by chance die and active judas shadow which revive you as tainted judas, if you did not know if you do not have tainted judas unlocked it revives you the normal judas, if you don't have t judas unlock instead it give you the normal judas unlock but it would not show on your marks but you would have the unlock. this happend to me i beat deliraium as judas shadow since i died and instead of getting dark art i got sac dagger which is nornal judas unlock edit: wait what sac dagger is a eve unlock how did i unlock it after beating delirauim with t judas

So the way this works is, you can unlock the item seperatly, and you can unlock it for the Character to start with it. So the way to unlock Wooden Nickel so you can encounter it during runs is "By donating 33 coins to the Greed Donation Machine". And then for Keeper to start with it you need to "Beat Isaac (the boss) with Keeper". Hope that made sense!
