The best value of money steel Daytona ref has got to be the 116520s. They're also in general the most under appreciated and underlooked Daytonas in the history of Rolex. Everyone always wants the Zenith 16520s or the recently discontinued 116500s ref.

The watch market is dead 😵 it will be 100 year before you see a price spike like that again. You’ll need a pandemic, shut down supply chains, and a bunch of free money from the government. Now with normal interest rates and no more free money prices will fade as they should. Too many grey market dealers and flippers are sitting on watches they overpaid for so prices are still elevated. They are sitting on bricks they can’t move. I look at listings throughout the week and volume is so slow it’s like watching paint dry. New watches will start overflowing in 2025. If you can’t get it at retail just wait and get on the list at multiple AD’s Bucherer is the best. They don’t play games and they are owned by Rolex. You won’t have to buy stuff you don’t want to get a watch.

Walked into Bucherer in Caesars Palace last week, no steel sports models for sale and no chance of getting on wait lists, although plenty in the window saying “display only”!
