My wife has owned a T-Cross now for over 2 years and I must say it is a ripper of a car to drive. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the amount of interior space - particularly in shoulder and leg room. This thing has more space in the footwell than my Land Rover Discovery. It's like Dr Who's phone booth inside. And the 3 pot engine is a peach. Tiny little thing has no right to perform like it does but, unlike a lot of Japanese small cars, it has gobs of torque which means it never feels you have to wring its neck on the highway (Can confirm it maxes out at 209km/hr). It has one of the lowest rolling resistances of any car I've driven which means I'm trying to slow it down rather than speed it up. Combined with excellent fuel economy and very confident handling the car has been a real pleasure to own.

I used to like the VW Group cars and have a Golf 7.5 and moved to a Kamiq after the Golf 8 interior and huge price jump left me cold. The products are further ruined by their poor aftersale service and corporate head office arrogance. Its taken longer than expected, but customers are starting to vote with their feet and are moving to other brands.

Am a big fun of VW and i own a golf,but i think its high time they go hybrid way.

After experiencing VW quality and customer service you couldn't pay me to have another one, Overpriced Average Cars being sold to Mugs who still believe the German Engineering Myth.

😂😂😂😂 tell me about it……soo overpriced with not even basic features…..NEVER AGAIN

i rented this car while road tripping for 4 days, would not recommend. I found the skoda kamiq had a better drive tho its on a similiar platform

I’ve been leasing a T Cross Active auto for the last three years. Honestly, I’m glad to see the back of it. Yes, it’s quite roomy and the moveable rear seat is very useful. Plus the interior plastics are very hard and scratchy. But it totally fails as a driver. The ride is fidgety and the performance is quite asthmatic. We had a Ford Puma before it and it was a much better drive: smoother, great handling and a punchy engine. Wouldn’t get one again - sorry !

keep in mind the problem with 1.0 eco boost so called now eco bomb. No problems reported with 1,0 vw. Probably the only 3 cylinder engine now without any major problems

There are no hybrid options when most of its rivals have already been doing them. Vw is going to be left in the dust.
@naferemixАй бұрын
If it weren’t for the government greenwashing, nobody would care about hybrids anyway. Most hybrid options don’t even give you noticeably better fuel economy to make up for the higher asking price.

It consume less than any mild crap hybrid in the market

@gianlucahead5397Ай бұрын
@@joe80ss errr yes, exactly the same of a Puma Mild, just to give you an example. The difference is that it will be way lighter than a mild. Anybody knows than mild hybrid are being done just for stupid regulations and have no sense at all 😂 People that can afford buy EVs not mild crap
@joe80ssАй бұрын
@gianlucahead5397 I mentioned Hybrid, though Suzuki ignis is mild hybrid, and you get way more mpg. The Yaris cross, Corolla Cross, Kia Niro, Toyota Rav 4. To name a few. In fact, if you want economical VW, then the Taigo 1litre 95 is your best bet for good size and decent mpg. Personally, though, VW is being left behind by Japanese and Korean manufacturers.

I have one as a hire car and I can't wait for my Kia Niro to be repaired. There's just lots of niggly things I don't like about the VW, such as the internal door handles not being in a good position when you need to open the door a small amount (in a car park etc)

Don't make the mistake of buying this rather than the excellent and cheaper Kamiq.

VW press office must have thought they couldn't sell that car in that colour so chose that one as a press car. Second hand value of that will plummet just because of its exterior .

I cannot understand the adult in the back middle seat test . How often is this happening in a real life situation? The rear seat of the T Cross has a lot of space and comfort in the two outer seats

The fact that it is petrol only, has taken it out of the equation for me! VW eversion to diesel, simply because of , in reality, a mute mistake of the past, will sink VW!! This company, is broken and on it's way out of the market, IF they do not drastically change their approach!!!

Awful. Once the turbo goes (& it always does), this vehicle isn't worth anything.
